Either way, it's more of a case of people putting the younger Lynch in crosshairs because she is David's daughter than her only getting the film made because she's David's daughter. Love how people decide they already know how good a movie is by watching a two minute trailer, especially one that is ambiguous by design as this one is. Whatever, keep convincing yourselves that you know everything before taking the effort to actually develop an informed opinion.

...needs to be a major recurring villain on some TV show, Al Swearingen style. I was just wondering, the other day, what happened to him and why hasn't someone better exploited him. As for Lynch, I was once a big fan, but I think he lost it. Some get better with age, some get worse. That's just the way it is. Look at Joe Stracynski from B5 S5 on. Look at Lucas and Spielberg. Some blow their load at an early age and Lynch is one of them. Don't know about his daughter though.

Wow! This actually looks like it's got some grande-ass cojones, you know? Hope we can get an early review here soon. I still haven't seen Boxing Helena, but it does have it's own cult following, for sure. Some people think otherwise, but, for me, her dad is at the top of his game right now. Inland Empire is a triumph of maverick filmmaking.

While it's true that the smell of coffee and bacon is driving people crazy, on the Inland Empire DVD, you can see Lynch in his custom Lynchian kitchen cooking up some, excuse me, damn fine quenoa. (Great Beefheartish handle of yours, btw.)
