More of that interconnected crap.

It mystifies my how anyone found any aspect of BABEL to be remotely profound. I suppose if you can write a bunch of trite short films and can join them with the most spurious connective thread then you're some kind of genius.
JAKE THE SNAKE ROBERTS? NO SHIT??

So... this is going to be more of the same shit? This guy really needs to change his fuckin' writing style, everything he writes is just the same shit, he just changes locations and characters. Amores Perros was very good, but c'mon man, cut the crap already.
The guy's a good writer.

The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada is a genuine masterpiece and it has nothing to do with interconnectedness or coincidence.

interconnections. whatever. I enjoy his films. I wonder if he can make anything other than depressing.
This review is bullshit...

I wrote the previous review and was at the same screening. There was no applause at the end (the dude from the screening agency walked down the aisle clapping as loud as he could), and the only audible reaction from the audience was laughter from the character's ridiculous lines. This review sounds like an intern at the Studio was asked to write a synopsis. Bull...shit.
Arriaga's pretty damn good.

And he's had a hell of an interesting life. I have a lot of faith in him as a writer. Hope the man can direct.

Lotta animus for Mr. Arriaga, which is ok. In fact, it is your right. But I too was in Pasadena the other night and heard a big round of applause from the audience and was in the focus group where almost everyone said how much they liked/loved it. Posting false information for the purpose of damaging another is illegal, pal.
Three Burials of Melquiades was AWESOME.

That being said, this review looks like it may need to be watered soon.

It ain't perfect but gave a decent feel for the movie, sounds pretty interesting & compelling. But what about the actors/actresses for instance, did the rookie director get good acting out of them?

I'm terrified. It's not animosity for Arriaga. I respect and admire the man's previous work. I wrote a negative review for his film, because it's my opinion that it's a melodramatic mess. Being at the screening, the studio's nervousness was palatable and apparent in their questionnaire. It seems no small coincidence to me, and as Polyh3dron implied, that after my negative review, "someone" else would write in with such an awkward, positive review. Good luck to Arriaga with the film, hope it's better when it's released. Signed, Andrew Gonzalez Rojas (you missed my second last name, Buzzsaw, it's Ok).

As I said, you are entitled to your opinion. What isn't cool is misrepresenting others' reactions to the film as you did in your "review".

What kind of idiot are you Andrew? Why would you give up your real name? Don't you realize that a lot of those self important industry people visit this site and could potentially black list you from work as well as attending any preview screenings? I would be really "terrified" about the repercussions from outing yourself. All I can say is you probably have a fucking bull's eye painted on your back now. Watch your back yo!
