...Looks like Be Kind Rewind. Cute, but not actually funny or touching. Some films can be a very hard sell though. Although material like this usually isn't. Strange that a commercials director can't cut an enticing piece of promotional material. Although, I doubt he did it himself.

I seen this 2 weeks ago and I must say that this is an excellent little movie. It remined me of when my brothers and I made our own version of the Terminator complete with ketchup for blood and tin foil for the metal endoskeleton.

Almost saw it at the London Film Fest last year but it was sold out and they had no press screaning. :(. I have heard great things about it.

when I was in the theater watching Horton Hears a Who! A really good Seuss adaptation because it's all CGI, but I digress. I got the gist of what it was about from the poster, and this review says I was on target. First Blood was actually the second movie I ever saw on VHS. What kid didn't want to run around in the woods and play Rambo? We did it all the time. We even went out and bought the huge ass Rambo knives, although we never ended up using them for anything more than a decoration. I should check this movie out and re-live my childhood.

Would be nice to see this one given its proper title Son Of Rambo, rather than that Rambow nonsense. Was that a copyright thing? If so, that's a shame. You'd think the owners of Rambo would appreciate what looks to be an affectionate tribute to their character. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing this one.

The trailer for this has played in front of nearly all of them (but not BE KIND, REWIND, which seems like such a natural move). Looks like a fun little movie.

There are a few music cues in Son of Rambow that practically sit in your lap and say, "See here? This is when you're supposed to feel happy/sad/etc." I wish they had Wes Anderson's people to choose some vintage tracks.

Tonally, it's all over the place. It starts out pretty promising and offbeat, but right in the middle, it abandons everything that made it charming and becomes a bad ABC After-School Special about the power of friendship. What Lance Rocke said about the music, I feel that way about the whole movie, save the first 20 minutes or so.

If they got a Sly cameo in this movie somehow. I mean he showed up in Taxi 3 (fucking get that on american DVD damnit). But that was before Sly proved why he is a god among men with Rambo.
