It's only AFTER they've left office and some time has passed to see the "fruits" of their presidencies that the public has an accurate picture of how good a job a president's done.

Right now, Dubya's Prez, so "everyone hates him," because they're sheep and it's the "in" thing to do. But everyone said the same thing about Reagan and Bush, Sr. back in the 80s and now, 20-30 years later, they're presidential "gods."

Odds are pretty dang good that, a quarter century from now, the "masturbating chimp" will be seen as visionary and proactive in regards to the Middle East and Africa, much as Reagan is today in regards to Communism.

Unfortunately, raw bitterness and myopism prevent many from even considering the possibility that Bush 43 isn't NEARLY the dumb, evil and incompetent Chief Executive they desperately wish he was.

And in 25 years, they'll probably be singing his praises much like everyone else, convinced that they'd supported his policies all along "way back when."

If you disagree with that assessment, take it up with him.

That being said, I would like to see Stone make a return to form (ala PLATOON, WALL STREET, etc.). When the guy is focused, he can be an incredibly effective film maker.

Now, on the flipside, the far-left wanted to burn him at the stake for WTC. He wanted WTC to be nothing more than a film about the people trapped in the rubble. And because he didn't directly address any 9-11 conspiracy topics, the far-left nutjobs claimed he had turned his back on them and that he had swallowed the "neocon Kool-aid".

Some days, it just doesn't pay to quit snorting blow.

Now if they include the scene where Bush vomits on the Japanese ambassador, I might catch that clip somewhere on the net.

And speaking of what Obama said about the preacher, I for one, agree with Jon Stewart (not unheard of), when he observed that an American politician had for once, spoken of race to the American people, and actually treated them like adults.

Nintendo- you don't sound like a loony at all, you sound frustrated and angry, like so many Americans. Your football analogy is actually a very accurate one, for many rabid sports fans a win or a loss is incidental, they follow their team as if they were divinely chosen to do so. Much like the so-called 'conservatives' that blindly follow Bush, they'll keep wearing the colors until the end of days, no matter how much their team fucking sucks.
