I'm glad they're finally making an anime for my fav manga buuut Bee Train doing the animation does make me nervous.This would've been a nice project for Studio 4C.Samura's rough & sketchy artwork would go perfect with 4C's animation style.Some guy on YouTube made a homemade clip of BOTI that looks like the anime sequence in Kill Bill.IMO thats the direction they should've went.

In that Gainax pic it has Gimmy and Darry grown up as the main characters from Nadia, with little Simon in the back (which is impossible without time travel). Probably looking too much into this, but I wonder if this means the new Gurren Lagann feature film will be about Gimmy and Darry instead of Simon. I always suspected a new series would be about them, since they grow up just as Simon does, and their story is similar.

Gainax just posts artists rendition of the characters o their front page every week. I think it's just what inspires the particular artist.

Shoji Kawamori? Yoko Kanno? Why the hell not? Unfortunately I found the show a bit repetitive and I've grown out of the formulaic combining robot show that this thing reduxes... Particularly on that morals bit. While a bit interesting the first time through, I'd recommend people either watch it if it comes to TV or rent them. Not really a purchase thing... Unless season 2 really does go someplace very interesting... And while there's nothing really notable by Kanno here, there are some tracks that are very reminiscent of Escaflowne, and I'd definately give the OST a listen on its own. I loved the Escaflowne OSTs! Particularily the chorale stuff! One other complaint I have about the show is that while it certainly does look like they had a good production budget, the CG stands out from the 2D too much whenever you get the mecha battles and I kinda hate that. Macross Zero I feel handled it beautifully but this sort of feels like a return to Arjuna, maybe worse, it's a minor gripe amongst it all as it's still watchable, it's just my personal issue... probaly has more to do with the way the CG moves or the consistency of its use.
