Each bit I see of G.I. Joe is making me feel better. First Park as Snake-Eyes, then Larry Hama on board, now this photo. I detested Transformers for its massive, wanton violations of what made the toy mythos great, but G.I. Joe, it seems, has its heart in the right place. Yo-Joe!

Although GI JOE is a nostalgic property for me (much like TRANSFORMERS), I have no real hopes for this movie. That being said, that symbol is a detail I did not expect to see. Let's hope it's a sign of things to come.

In one of the issues (somewhere in the 25-27 range) Snake Eyes took the brunt of a helicopter explosion to the face. This destroyed his vocal cords. I stopped reading around issue 100, so I don't know if they fixed it later and then he took a vow of silence.

So, I downloaded the hi-res version and bumped up the contrast to see an even sweeter picture. It looks *real* -- a little acceptable body armor-type sculpting to beef up the shoulders aside.

It's sad that I'm thrilled to see CLOTH. The man has pants made of cloth. Isn't that WILD?! That's so fucking refreshing after decades of head-to-tow molded plastic or leather.

I forget that there are new fans of G.I. Joe after the '80s. I mean... what did they collect? I was weary of Serpentor, but they handled the character well in the comics. I was out once they introduced Cobra-La. But to read comments about outcry over Snake Eyes having a gun? We need to run a refresher course on his file card and the first 30 issues of the comic for the newbies. I'm ecstatic that Larry Hama is on board and that the filmmakers have hailed the comic, not the cartoon. I have faith in this one, baby.

But, what's this about an oath of silence? The origin in the comics has the young man hit square in the face with ignited aviation gas "like a boxcar full of roman candles. He stepped out of the wreckage carrying buddy, his mouth opening and closing in his ravaged face... with no sound coming out."

Something like that. It's been a while. :)

Does anybody else think this image looks too comic book, not enough military? Also, as previously pointed out, a little on the cheap side. For a ninja or covert ops specialist, there is an awful lot of color on that uniform. Are the wrist bands stolen off the Wonder Woman costume from the Justice League set? I wanted somebody else to say it first. But hey, if he wants to wear his clan on his sleave as well as a tattoo, I guess that's his decision. It was hidden for two years in the comic book until "Silent Interlude," when they began to introduce the connection to Storm Shadow.

A few points. Snake Eyes was first and foremost a military man, hence his early ties to some of the Joe team and his expertise with weaponry. After Vietnam, he was a student in Japan in Storm Shadow's clan. They became like brothers until there was a grave misunderstanding. Living alone and being one with nature, Snake Eyes was recruited back into service when G.I. Joe was being formed. With renewed purpose, became the man in black we all know and love, both a soldier and a ninja. For those who say this costume doesn't look military enough... um... he never did, not in a olive green, more authentic way like the other original Joes. In the first set of figures, he was the one who was different and purposefully mysterious, hence his popularity. He's the Wolverine of G.I. Joe.

...haven't we learned? The Phantom Menace looked sweet. Matrix Reloaded looked like two pairs of tits. Hell, how highly did we rate King Kong based on what Peter Jackson had done previously? Now. This movie is directed by Stephen Sommers.

This is the man who ass-raped his own franchise with The Mummy Returns. Or, to clarify: Sommers managed to do in two (2) years what it took George Lucas twenty-two (22) years to do.

The image people are ejaculating over is the result of a good costume designer and still photographer. You want to drool over still images of people in costumes, I suggest that you buy Vogue.

I'm not knocking Larry Hama, he owns the GI Joe concept and I admire his work, much as I admire Simon Furman for giving giant robots depth and pathos. That's fucking hard and is proof of serious chops. But, please, some sense?

It's a movie from the director of The Mummy Returns and Van Helsing. Where's the McG level hatred? Sommers has more than earned it.

I'd say the two positives and the two negatives cancel each other out, so a clean slate is in order.

It's very hard to do a Snake-eyes costume look wrong. Mostly adhere to an established costume (particularly versions 1,2, or 4), place it on someone in good, lithe, toned shape, have them give an actual action pose that doesn't look fake, and light it in darker light and you're 95% there. Snake-eyes, unlike most comic book characters, has a workable, if maybe a little cheesy, look to begin with.

While they recently put his I-Ching /ninja clan hexagram on his costume (I've mostly ignored what I consider the sub par reinstatement of the Joe comics), I personally agree that I think it almost more appropriate to have it hidden as a tattoo. In fact, my preference would've been to spend perhaps half the movie with Snake-eyes merely being a commando character (which would play homage to his early comic days before they started fleshing out his background and connecting him to Stormshadow). You could've still done flashbacks for Stormie as Snake-eyes wouldn't be wearing his military garb yet and at some point reveal the tattoo and have Snake-eyes demonstrate his expertise in swordplay. You could've even had Stormie say something to the effect of, "Ah, so you haven't forgotten..." or something.

Still have neutral feelings towards this movie, but at least they didn't deck Snake out in leather with plastic nipples....

Um, guys Cobra Commander turns out to be *SPOILER*
by IndustryKiller!
Mar 20th, 2008
09:53:21 PM
*SPOILER* Dukes friend Rex who is thought killed in the beginning of the film. This character is also the brother of The Baroness, whom he controls with a microchip in her brain. I guess this Rex character is being played by Joseph Gordon Levitt. I love him as an actor but Cobra Commander being played by a 27 year old is pretty lame as is hte whole friend of Duke thought dead thing. I have no idea why they couldnt just make him the shadowy leader of a terrorist organisation. Why does he have to have some bullshit link to the main character? Do they think that somehow makes it less cheesy than the cartoon? Fuck that. It's like finding out Osama Bin Laden is George W. Bush's old golfing buddy. it's ridiculous.

so much. The Joe team was always multicultural, so multinational isn't that much of a stretch. They gotta get the tone of the early comics (#21, the #34 Shakedown issue, the Snake Eyes "trilogy") right for this to really work.

Ahhh, just kidding. I hate the partial birth abortions who say "Meh." Snake-eyes looks cool. And they even got the Arashikage clan symbol right. Very faithful. Glad Larry Hama is involved. Hopefully he will keep Sommers from fucking this up. Here's what Wikipedia has to say about Snake-eyes's voice: "In keeping with his personality, Snake-Eyes usually wears what could perhaps best be described as a black "military ninja" bodysuit, along with a balaclava and visor to cover his face, which was disfigured in a helicopter explosion which also left him completely mute. Since then, Snake-Eyes has had extensive plastic surgery to repair the damage to his face, but he still has one or two scars left and might never speak again."

I have to disagree. The Mummy Returns (TMH from here on) was much worse than Van Helsing, simply because it DESTROYED everything that the original movie set in place. Sommers reinvented Indiana Jones when he put Brendan Fraser in that movie, and I'll challenge anyone who disagrees: yeah, it's a rip, but it was the best one ever done and I'm more than happy to enjoy a perfect updating/homage. The action sequences, for the most part, feature practical effects and the stunt work is well done. The script is tight and the supporting actors add to the plot as opposed to distracting from the lack of it.

The sequel? Fucks all of that in the ass for fuck-poor CGI, a kid -- A FUCKING KID!!! -- and a balloon adventure. A FUCKING BALLOON? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? I've been pissed at paying to see a movie before, but THAT movie was a fucking killer.

Grew up in the UK, have the entire Action Force run, even the monthly and when they combined with the UK Transformers (although I was already buying Transformers...) Thought the death of Candi was devastating, Zartan escaping from Joe HQ was a superb issue and yeah, 21 (not that I knew it as that in the UK) is a true example of what comics can be. But I doubt he had very much input in the movie. He probably met with the director and producers, talking a bit, gave some suggestions and his thoughts on characters. But they're still making their own movie. If he like, had a producer credit or something, then I'd be thrilled. Based on some spoilers I've heard (a few mentioned here) they will likely be rewriting some characters' backgrounds in ways I don't like, but I'm still hoping we get a good flick.

After all this is only based on a toy line and form the 80’s no less, how can you screw that up? The real question is will the original (and only one that matters)Gi Joe from the 60’s make a cameo? Or a Mego Action Jackson, that would rock! With his dazzling blue jumpsuit, mod styled hair, and white boots

It was typed in all caps, not my style but here it is...

MASSIVE SPOILER TERRITORY!

I HAVE RECENTLY COME UNDER REX LEE/THE DOCTOR/COBRA COMMANDER’S MIND CONTROL THROUGH THE NANOMITES BEHIND THE INCISION SCAR OF MY RIGHT EAR JUST LIKE ANA LEWIS AKA THE BARONESS AKA COBRA COMMANDER’S SISTER IN THE MOVIE!

IN OTHER WORDS EL MAYIMBE IS NOW A MEMBER OF THE DIABOLICAL COBRA ORGANIZATION!

I’VE GONE ROGUE COURTESY OF AMY POWELL, THE SR VP OF INTERACTIVE MARKETING OVER AT PARAMOUNT!

SO YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE HUH?!

WHICH GIJOE ACTUALLY DIES? HOW? COVERGIRL GETS IMPALED BY STORM SHADOW’S KATANA BLADE WHEN SHE ENTERS HAWK’S STATEROOM. STORM SHADOW THEN STABS HAWK IN THE GUT PARALYZING HIM.

WHO DOES ZARTAN CLONE? THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES AT THE END OF THE MOVIE THERFORE LEAVING IT WIDE OPEN FOR THE SEQUEL! ZARTAN SPENT 18 MONTHS STUDYING THE PRESIDENT, LEARNING HIS MANNERISMS, ADOPTING HIS EATING HABITS, AND LOSING SIXTY PERCENT OF HIS OWN MUSCLE MASS.

WHAT’S UP WITH COBRA COMMANDER? DUKE’S BEST FRIEND IN THE BEGINNING OF THE MOVIE IS MEDICAL OFFICER REX LEE. DUKE IS GONNA MARRY REX’S SISTER ANA (aka the soon to be Baroness). REX WILL BE BEST MAN. DUKE PROMISES ANA TO TAKE CARE OF REX ON A MISSION THAT GOES TO HELL. REX IS SUPPOSEDLY KILLED OR SO WE THINK. REX REAPPEARS AS THE MASKED DOCTOR WHO BREATHES THROUGH A MASK AND BY THE END OF THE MOVIE BECOMES THE COBRA COMMANDER. THOSE JFX ONLINE PICTURES THAT LEAKED OF THE BARONESS? THAT IS ANA AT HER BROTHER’S REX FUNERAL. ANA THINKS REX IS STILL DEAD AND DOESN’T KNOW THE DOCTOR WORKING AT MARS IS HER BROTHER.

HOW DOES THE BARONESS BECOME DECOBRAY AND WHY? SHE MARRIES LEON DECOBRAY WHO RUNS A LAB IN FRANCE. HE WEAPONIZES DESTRO’S WARHEADS. SHE IN TURN, DIVORCES HIM.

DIDN’T THE BARONESS HAVE FEELINGS FOR DUKE? WHAT GIVES? SHE IS UNDER HER BROTHER’S MIND CONTROL. HAS A SMALL INCISION SCAR BEHIND HER RIGHT EAR. IT’S ALL ABOUT MIND CONTROL AND NANOTECHNOLOGY FOLKS.

ANY BIG TIME DESTRUCTION IN THE FILM? OH YEAH! DESTRO GETS EVEN WITH THE FRENCH AND TOPPLES OVER THE EIFFEL TOWER! IT COMES CRASHING DOWN INTO THE SEINE. NANOMITES EAT THE SHIT OUT OF IT.

ANYTHING ELSE HAPPENS? YEAH, DUKE GETS CAUGHT BY THE BAD GUYS JUST LIKE HE DID IN THE CARTOONS BACK IN THE DAY.

WHERE IS MARS HEADQUARTERS? AT THE POLAR ICE CAPS UNDERWATER

HOW DO THE JOES GET THERE? IN THE NIGHT RAVEN

DOES DESTRO WEAR HIS FAMOUS MASK? AT THE END. HIS FACE GETS BURNED THAT THE NANOMITES FORM A MASK AROUND MCCULLEN’S FACE HENCE DESTRO IS BORN.

ANY COOL TECH? YEAH, THE JOES HAVE MARK ONE ACCELERATOR SUITS LIKE THAT VIDEO GAME CRYSIS. MAKES YOU RUN FASTER, JUMP HIGHER AND HIT HARDER. BAD ASS! SO NOW YOU KNOW! HASTA EL PROXIMO CAPITULO... ...YO SOY EL MAYIMBE!

Lets all calm down now, men...

Now I read on wiki that Dennis Quaid is Hawk. That's pretty cool - Quaid can do no wrong for me after Wyatt Earp and Savior. It could be fun if it doesn't take itself too seriously.

Well I ain't going to the comic shop but one of my nerd issues correspondents forced me to borrow GI JOE book #1. So you will be happy to hear that I can now understand how this concept could have been made into a pretty cool action movie. The basic concept of the team of specialists with different gimmicks could definitely have worked in an '80s style action movie like a PREDATOR. I'm still not gonna read the whole thing because it's not my thing, it's pretty corny but I can see what you're talking about now. So please take me off your enemies list.

Also I think the pictures is pretty good, I am pro-ninja. It's still a Stephen Sommers movie so let's not get carried away, but who knows. Maybe I will break my vow of not watching Stephen Sommers movies if it looks fun enough.

Having Cobra Commander turn out to be an old friend of Duke's (movie) is no more or less retarded than having him turn out to be the never-before-mentioned brother of the drunk driver that wiped out Snake-Eyes' family post-Vietnam (comics). The anger of his brother being a douchebag and dying stupidly propelled him to turn his mad car-selling skills to evil and build the ultimate international terrorist organization? I was a massive fan of GI Joe back in the 80's and loved all the generation one stuff and the classic comics, I even have a massive Devil's Due poster of Cobra Commander hanging on my wall right in front of me as I type this, and I was very cynical of this whole project. I absolutely hated Van Helsing and all the Mummy movies, so I held my head in my hands when I saw Stephen Sommers attached to my childhood dream movie. "Anyone but him, I'd even have Dr Boll instead of this prick!" I thought to myself. But after seeing this picture of Snake Eyes I admit I got slightly excited. Sure, it could all be a massive fuck-up and total disaster, but with Larry Hama onboard and sounding optimistic, I'll reserve my judgement for now. Keep your fingers crossed for someone faithful Joe fans!

I have to admit the changing of characters origins, while sometimes OK, is particularly aggravating to me. Just imagine the outcry if they put out a Spider-Man movie but changed his origin as much as they're doing here with G.I. Joe. What makes it most annoying is that G.I. Joe became popular with its original storyline. And honestly, the cartoon and comic worlds were not all that different. I think it's obvious though that Duke will be more of the focus, if for no other reason than Snake-Eyes can't talk.

Nobody is saying this will be a groundbreaking work of cinema and of course the possibility that it will suck remains but that costume is dead on when compared to the source material. The man in the suit also happens to be an incredibly talented martial artist so the bottom line is that not everything about this film is looking all that bad. I, like many here, was shocked to see such a faithful representation of Snake Eyes so at this juncture you can color me impressed. I understand that for some of you, talking endless shit is your thing but regardless, those pics look pretty damn good. Lighten up, fellas.

This is AWESOME!! It is Snake-Eyes. Park, Quaid, and Byung-hun Lee have been the best casting so far to me. I still have major concerns about the plot and film itself, but God, thats a good design. Most of the foam rubber chest plate is going to be covered with kit and gear most of the time anyway so that hopefully won't be too distracting. Now if the just keep Hawk in the leather bomber for most of the movie... but reading the thing from Latino Review above worries me. Inhancement suites? Sure it'll make for great stunt work, but for the love of God Sommers keep the wire work to a minimum that shit never looks real and is always distracting as shit to see because it completly takes me out of the fight scene. It worked for Crouching Tigar, but really should have stayed there.

Ray Park's already got some defined muscles. If he beefed up a bit for the role, and if he's wearing a skintight outfit, then they might show through it quite a bit (although maybe not enough to show veins). He's gotta be able to jump and twist and kick in that outfit, so it can't be anywhere near as bulky as a Bat-outfit.

by Frankenbastard
Mar 21st, 2008
11:01:02 AM
What’s with all the retarded complaining about the costumes looking too new? First off its 2 pictures of one character (out of like 30) in the movie and second it’s a publicity photo for a film that’s fairly new in production. If whining about a costume looking too new (when for a change the character actually looks the way the toy does) is a way of saying “hey look at me I need attention in a talkback” that’s just being King of all Fucktards. Plus, let’s pretend for a minute that the film is based on a crappy toy line from the 80’s. When I bought my Snake-eyes he was brand new then as I played with him, threw rocks at him, made him fight tanks, melted him with WD-40 and a lighter he became more worn. So give the film makers a chance to throw a few rocks at him as the story ticks on. I wish they would make these Joes fight an army of 20 foot 60’s and 70’s Gi Joes. They would squash them because nothing makes an action figure more ornery than having arthritic Kung Fu (tm) grip. Ahh, the fight would be glorious.

Unless they just paid him off to help with the look of the characters costumes and then paid him a little extra to keep quiet about the level of quality of the picture. As far as Cobra Commander's origin goes, he's always, always, always had a horrible origin, no matter which version of G.I.Joe we're talking about. You've got one where he was, as mentioned, the brother of the guy who drove the car Snake Eyes crashed into back in the day. Another in which he was an evolved snake person of the Cobra-La race. And another now in which he's Duke's former best friend. He's a badass looking character, but his backstory has always been shit. Not the shit, just shit. And to whoever wants to see G.I.Joe done as a realistic military type movie......well, to each his own, but fuck that shit. I hope when I see this movie there's some just batshit crazy plot to take over the world by Cobra, probably using snakes in some way, shape, or form. And G.I.Joe is stopping them. And I hope to hear Cobra...retreat! at least once. If I want to watch a realistic miltitary action movie I'll watch that. G.I.Joe is not meant to be that. It's meant to be exactly what we see in that picture at the top of this article.

It looks like the face is actually a combo helmet, latex to the top of the visor, and balaclava below the visor, you can actually see Ray's lips outlned through the fabric. and there's a dispoportion between big head and small lower face. That's different, but makes sense. Ray wouldn't be able to breath through latex very well, but the military issue clavas are very comfortable. He must have a seem along the jaw where the change over happens, may be why the pics deliberately keep that part of the face dark.

Finally have something I want to post TalkBack about! Long time G.i. Joe fan here. I remember my first figure (Shory Fuse). I love the pic, and have hopes for the movie as long as Larry Hama is involved. My only issue with this Snake Eyes (and a minor one it is) is the BRIGHT RED Arishakage clan symbol on the arm. He's a ninja, and the black is for stealth, dammit! The silver is bad enough, but why add the red? just leave it on his forearm, and covered, where it belongs. Also, for you youngsters, check out some of the older G.I. Joe comics, especially the silent issue. Snake Eyes does use guns, he was military before he was ninja. They did get it right!

"The Mummy" was fun, that's undeniable. A little too cutesy and family friendly, sure, but it had its own, arguably original tone, and was conceived as a fun, light, action adventure, and it definitely succeeded at that. Could it have been better? Sure. It shouldn't even have been called "The Mummy", evoking a horror movie concept. It should have been called something more pulp-y, like "Rick Whateverhisnamewas And The Curse of Imhotep!", because it was so obviously riding Indiana Jones' coattails. So obviously they wanted to avoid the connection, hence calling it "The Mummy", but it was still a fun popcorn adventure. So he DOES know what he's doing in some ways, clearly. Then along came "The Mummy Returns", and yes, he screwed the pooch six ways to Sunday. I mean it was bad every way you look at it. And then of course there was "Van Helsing", ASTOUNDING in its stupidity. BUT--even in "Returns" and "Helsing", he proved that he can direct and sustain exciting, engaging, ENTERTAINING action set-pieces. The opening of Van Helsing, in Paris, against Hyde? Awesome. That is an awesome action scene. The movie went off the rails in so many other ways, but the guy knows what he's doing when it comes to over-the-top, fun, unrealistic action. And since G.I. Joe isn't exactly War & Peace to begin with, and the studio has said time and time again that they're closely following the source material to the extent that they've BROUGHT ON THE WRITER of the source material, I think it's a pretty safe bet that they're aware of Sommer's tendencies to 'get lost in his own museum', so to speak, and are doing everything in their power to ensure he sticks to what he does best. This is a glass-half-full outlook, to be sure, but so far I honestly have to say I haven't heard or seen anything that is massively worrisome, and I'm a HUGE, die-hard, as-long-as-I've-been-cognizant Joe fan. Even that picture of The Baroness as a blonde--I immediately just assumed she was in disguise. She was ALWAYS doing that in the comics and cartoons, after all...

This is just the crumbs they are giving to satisfy the fans so they forget how horrible the script is. AND it works just like it did for Transformers. Yes he looks great but it doesn't mean a damn thing other then a wasted opportunity. I'll be renting this unless Marlon Wayans gets hit by a bus and the script is rewritten but you know that won't happen. Cobra Commander is not some pawn lacky 20 something doushe bag. He is Cobra and when it was taken away from him in the book it was only through force. And Destro doesn't wear a mask because his face is messed up that's Snake Eyes. They have it all backwards.

they kitted him out with an FN Five-seveN, by Fabrique Nationale de Herstal (FNH), a Belvery nice. A pistol that fires a small high velocity, high penitration round thats basicly a cut down rifle round with a slightly larger in diameter than those fired by the M-4 and 16. Nasty. Little hole but even kevlar has great difficulty stopping it. per wikipedia: the Five-seveN's ammunition is designed to hit, travel a few inches, then tumble end over end without deforming. This means that the wound it creates would be as tall as the length of the projectile (more than 21 mm). ouch.

But he's not the founder of Cobra. And since the "Baroness" is actually brain washed and is really in love with a Joe, well, that's another shot to the character. They might as well not have him in it. This whole Duke was buddies with a brain washed super soldier that will supposedly be Cobra commander and they are all related at the end of the movie is so lame. The script is telling a totally out there back story irrelevant to the name it's feeding off of. They didn't have to do that. They didn't have to explain any of that.

Sounds like you are part of the costume department. If so, insist that the costumes look USED and quit being a little bitch about my pointing that out.

One of the reasons we all love Indiana Jones is that his outfit looks like he has actually worn it while fighting/getting dragged behind a truck/diving out of the way of a boulder/slicing a suspension bridge in half and riding it down to the cliff face etc...

I argued with Stephen about how Selleck really shouldn't be wearing a Hawaiian shirt and driving a Ferrari 380GTSi, as it wasn't really faithful to Larry's original concept for the character, but he insisted, and it stayed in the movie. Snake Eyes isn't mute in this movie, that's just something we've been leaking out to the press, but nor is he scarred from 'Nam with damaged vocal chords. Again, myself and Larry fought with Stephen (or Stevo as I call him) over this but Stevo wanted to give the character a real twist so now the character just can't be bothered to talk. Although we have just recorded a scene for the finale where ol' Snakey pulls off his mask and will utter a single word. I don't want to spoil it, because it's really significant and sets up the sequel nicely, but what I can tell you is this - we're in negotiations with Emo Philips to provide the dialogue, which we'll dub in during Post-Production.

Hi fans it’s me again, the 2nd Unit Director under Brett McBay of the soon to be instant cult classic of the GI Joe porno tentatively being called GI Hoes: A Real American Bimbo. And I must say that the leaked script for the Hollywood movie has been a real inspiration for us and our work on the set here (we're writing as we go along kinda like what's being done with the Hollywood movie). Names had to change for trademark and proprietary reasons but I must say that the Snake-Thighs, Spitting Cobra, and the Baronundress threesome love tryst straight from the 22nd draft of the Hollywood movie looks just as promising in our interpretation as it does on pages 53-77 of theirs. The first was my friend John's blog when he was giving his after-the-dust-has-cleared impression of Cloverfield, calling it "the perfect modern monster movie" because of its style. "Like it or not, it leaves an indelible impression." In nearly the same breath, he said, "Of course, the characters are forgettable," and explains that they were designed that way. Then, that's not a perfect monster movie to me. Aliens was the perfect monster movie, followed closely by its predecessor.

Then in this talkback, Dawhiteguy joked, "more than one alike character on the same screen" is a terrible thing for hollywood. Again I thought of Aliens. Yes, when we're first introduced to the Colonial Marines, they all look alike. They all have the same equipment and uniforms. Even by the time the shit hits the fan, we're still not sure of who's who. Wierzbowsky, anyone? Anyone? lol But by the time we're in some pretty shit now, man, we've invested completely in the survivors.

Now, Joes won't be dropping like flies like the Colonial Marines, and this film is aimed at a younger audience (I suspect), but it CAN be done well.

because if that's the case they just raped the comic. If they're right, then why is Hama still attached. He should have walked out.

Thanks though, I wouldn't have been able to survive the day without you letting me know that you know Larry Hama. I think my cockring just popped off in sheer excitement. Fucking hacks. EPIC FAIL.

But I still have a really, really, REALLY bad feeling about this film. Hell, Transformers LOOKED GOOD (style aside) going in and even had the right Optimus voice, but we ended up with Bumblebee taking a piss on someone and "My Bad". I supposed after this they'll be hitting up ThunderCats and The Smurfs. Although I must admit The Smurfs done as a stoner pic would be pretty funny.

Actually i would prefer monica belluci over both Sienna and especially munn..she's cute and shit, but I find her too annoying.

Oh and Krack, I rather deal with the concept of GIJoe being an international strike force (in Brussels not Belgium)than fucking Autobots sneaking around some kid's house and pissing oil on some special agent.(Goddamn you Micheal Bay.)

Like I said before Hama will no doubt help to clean up the potentual shitfest and hopefully there won't be any product placement or fucking Happy meals to accomodate the movie.(product placement, is almost certain.)

I'm hoping for Serpentor in the sequal

What are you people talking about when whinning about guns? Snake-Eyes always had guns. I still have all his figures and they always came with guns (small and machine guns). In the comics he used guns as well as the tv show. The only time he didn't use a gun was when he was fighting Storm Shadow.

They release a badass picture of the most underated stunt/action star in movies today. This looks good, but I'm still not sold. We all know that Ray Park is going to potray his roll very well, it's the other lot of retards that's worrying me right now.

the first one could go either way, it definitely looks CG at first look. The second is no way CG. I am glad the costume is accurate. yeah it looks shiny, bracelets a little goofy, but man, I'd rather complain about that than ANYTHING else. Good job GI Joe crew! now lets see him move like US covert ops with a ninja background!

Golden Eye accent and die job. But honestly. Blond Baroness? I could see her in red playing Scarlett. But blond to black would just look like an ink pens broke on her head. Did Aeon Flux teach us nothing?

And she really needs a big screen movie where she doesn't die five minutes into her screen time. I'd watch it just to see her on the movie screen. She should hold out for an awesome script though. Don't want her wasted.

Latino Review says The Rock & Brendan Fraser

The Rock has been offered Shipwreck. Fraser IS Gung Ho for a short cameo. Two terrible actors playing two terrible characters I guess. That should help ruin the movie for those who thought there still might be hope.
