were shit for a reason. This movie had a big budget and blew ass. There was absolutely no point to this movie if you think about it. I wont get into spoiler territory but the cure? None of this movie had to happened... SO lets recap Doomsday Futuristic London to Fucked up Scotland to Mid-evil knights to a Bentley commercial back to Fucked up Scotland to a quick-take of futuristic London. And the Bentley commercial part lolllll the windshield was cracked one shot the next it was in perfect condition...this goes on for about 15 min

I'm sold on this film and thank Muldoon for taking the time to write it up. But sweet God - can't all of the dorks around here find one thread not to bitch in. I come here for movie news. Unfortunately I sometimes glance at the comments and it makes me sick most of the time. They've brought other movies into this thread to bitch about instead of even acknowledging the film being discussed. Remember the Oscar coverage where some of you dorks got called out? That made my day. It's sad really because a heavily trafficed site like this one could lead to changes in Hollywood if done right. If all of the 37 year old virgins could contain their own feelings of inadequacy and not lash out at the world through the safety of their DSL connections that is. I don't think it's far fetched to imagine people making decisions in these studios to use the Internet to try and track what the public feels about certain ideas. But they come here and all the see is that this sucks and that sucks and everyone sucks. So instead of tweaking anything in the future they just write you all off as a bunch of doofs. You don't like Doomsday? That's fine but offer constructive criticism other than it sucked. I have found in the past that a great percentage of the releases that I'm not sure about tend to be pretty good if a bunch of dimwits on here are criticizing it. If you have a mature and honest love for film you can enjoy most of them on some level. There are plenty of discs I toss in every year and when I get done I know I'll never watch them again and I wish I had those two hours back. But I realize that dozens or hundreds of people worked to produce that film and maybe they'll go on to better things. There's no line of a hundred strangers waiting in line to criticize how you dorks stock the shelfs at Kroger's so go easy on the folks that make these movies. I promise you current dorks that if you use some of that $7.50 per hour on clothes, grooming products, and contact lenses you will become more attractive to females. Probably not the cheerleaders you whack it to but a group of fives or sixes. And when all of that ackward shyness is past and she let's you climb on top of her and you experience the joy of being with a woman it puts things in perspective. Vagina is the best cure for movies that suck or really anything that sucks. I guess when I was a young lad in puberty I was mad at the world too. But you bust a load into a few of these gals and a movie that sucks doesn't matter. You shrug it off and go with the flow. Don't you ever wonder why Hollywood doesn't listen to you when all of your jizz mopper friends agree with your opinions? It's because you're in the tiny minority of dorks that aren't fucking and can't see anything without negativity and they know it. So yeah, after all of that I'm jotting down Dear Zachary as one to check out in the future and I know I'll like it just by the description. And if I don't I'll keep that to myself.

i DO NOT understand people comparing Doomsday to Grindhouse (the movie). Doomsday is a superbly directed, creative movie and yeah, it feels like a movie from the 80's but THAT IS BECAUSE PEOPLE KNEW HOW TO MAKE SCI-FI/ACTION MOVIES IN THE 80's. I Am Legend is what happens when 30 Hollywood execs all sit down together and say "Hey, you know what the kids like these days? Post apocalypse. Let's get a property we can remake with a name everyone recognizes and cash in on it while we can." Doomsday is what happens when a very talented director who loves movies gets to make the movie he wants to make. It's not some tongue-in-cheek bullshit like Grindhouse, this movie is the real fucking deal. And if you think the knights are random and silly, use your fucking head and ask yourself what they're doing there instead of expecting the movie to cram it down your throat. (If you are too lazy to figure it out on your own, I'll do it for you: they are there to provide a counterpoint to the complete chaos shown to be the other option for society behind the wall. Sol and the punks throw themselves blindly into the future and Dr Cain xenophobically heads to the past, saying he is recreating the UK from the ground up even though his group are just as barbaric as Sol & his crew.) When people start criticizing a movie like Doomsday on a site like AICN it makes me fear for the future of movies.

I guess the dorks can be topped in terms of how annoying someone can be. Wow, I'm edgy because I got Pot Smokin' in my name. Let me tell you where I'm coming from since I'm relatively new at posting here. I partied non-stop from 15 until about 24. I met the right woman finally and settled down and now have two kids. I've lived life in a lot of different ways and I'm still young enough to do it many more ways. I now work as an accountant and am lucky enough to have put myself into a decnt position after being in danger of bad things from partying. I come here, as I said in my previous post, because I want to see what's new in movies and TV and this is a good place to find out a lot in a little time. But there are far too many assholes and dorks in here. I've went over the dorks in my last post so I guess I'll tell you why you're an asshole PotSmokinAlien. Your screen name tells me one of two things is true. Either you're fifteen and smelled pot once while your step dad was firing up or you are a full flledged stoner who spends hours online to waste time while high. If you want to advertise your drug use don't be such a pussy about drugs. Pot is like using Frank's Red Hot sauce and telling people you're into fire hot shit that is so intense that only a select few can handle it. Increase your scovilles, dude. You want to be the druggie, well move on to some adult drugs. My partying days always escalated into splitting eighty bucks of cocaine with someone else and getting really fucked up. Pot makes you mellow and makes Spongebob seem hilarious. Yeah, that's real fun. Cocaine gives you the sensation that you're about to cum and it tingles through your body for at least twenty minutes. I once was awake for 91 straight hours on cocaine and that was during a vacation at work. I never had a problem and I was always in control. Try screwing on cocaine. No matter what happens it's going to be so satisfying because of the tingle already there and when you finish you have the energy to get up and do something for fifteen minutes before jumping right back on and fucking some more. Try acid and watch almost every single object or person you look at distort to some degree when the neurons in your brain misfire. It's a scary thing sometimes but if you want to be the big bad druggie you gotta learn to deal with it. Grind up some OxyContin, inhale whippets, slam five shots of real absynth. It's all better than pussy ass pot. Not that anybody should try any of that. I wouldn't want my kids to do it. But if you want to come on here with a name like that you should ball up and go for it. Don't do anything half assed. And if you want to criticize me for putting some thought into my lengthy posts - cool. My feelings aren't going to be hurt by some two bit stoner who thinks I'm a drag. If you want to think I'm bragging about having sex - that's fine too. I stopped doing that in high school when the novelty wore off. I'm just trying to get the point across that all of the negative dorks on here should live life and that's the big step that kicks most guys into gear. You get that first beaver experience out of the way and you won't be on here bitching about Doomsday. I can't think of the last movie I wanted to bitch about because seriously, what the fuck does it matter. The only thing that matters is the profits. Bitch all you want about Spiderman 3 but my oldest kid liked it and that made me enjoy it and it made huundreds of millions of dollars so there will be a part 4. I don't know when but it'll come and hundreds of basement dwellers moaning about the flicks not being faithful to this issue or whatever ain't changing a God damn thing.

I haven't seen Doomsday. I wouldn't know if it's good or not. But if it's not I'm not going to bitch about it here. If you don't want to read my opinion that's cool. Nobody's holding a gun to your head. I'm not stupid. I could type here for hours and it won't change anything. I'm really just wasting my time. But the best sign that someone isn't just a silly little douchebag that acts tough online is that they are willing to offer honest opinions with sound reasoning behind those thoughts and intelligently debate contradicting opinions. Not here though. I see the same cliche bullshit in every thread. Every one starts with somebody saying first - whoopity fuckin' do. If the thread is a positive review we get half a dozen idiots claiming it's a plant - that just seems to say that the par around here is be negative or leave. And we get the "This year's Little Miss Sunshine" or "X gotta eat" comments that were funny last spring but not so much now. This might be my last post or not. I don't know. I guess I'm just in the right mood now to unload on the bullshit that goes on around here. I don't want to read a paragraph, boo hoo. Fucking pitiful. I'm suppossed to read all of the two work -It Sucks- reviews around here and think they're valid when you can't be bothered to concentrate enough to read for three minutes straight. Read my shit and tell me where I'm wrong. I think SmokingPotAlien and Mezzanine are a couple of juvenile little twats who couldn't debate their way into free ketchup at McDonalds. Since you seem desperate for some honest human contact, I'll fill you on the screen name: one night at work (American Apparel, at that time) me and my coworkers were reminiscing about dumb fads from the '90's. Aliens smoking pot came up. Hence the name. If it set you off so much I think we can agree that's your problem. I've done every drug you are so proud to mention and cooled off on all of them in my old age. If you really live life to the fullest you would have realized awhile ago that assuming the worst about people, or even just pigeonholing them, gets you absolutely nothing.

I'd just like to say that I never expected to see a review of this documentary on my favorite movie news website. Thanks a lot guys. Anyway, I'm from Newfoundland and a close relative of Zachary. I haven't had an opportunity to see the film myself yet, but I expect Kurt has done a phenomenal job with it and I hope it does have a positive impact on the legal system here, because change is needed. I'm sure he will eventually come back here and set up a screening of the film. I'll probably go, if I can bring myself to do it. Finally, everyone here at AICN owes it to themselves to see this film. You guys have recommended great films to me countless times, so, for once, take it from me and see this film. I haven't seen it, but I know the "plot" all to well unfortunately, and it will shake you to your very core.
