Escape sucked but I remember "Return to Witch Mountain" vividly, it had Bette Davis as a gambling obsessed crazy woman and Christopher Lee as a guy who wanted to take over the world. Not a bad film at all! But reimaginings suck.

Not to bitch, but Witch Mountain was not exactly something that needs to be revisited. I'd sooner revisit the Last fucking Starfighter or Enemy Mine! I know name recognition is nice, but there MUST be some books or even some imaginative screenwriters (oxymoron?) out there with some new ideas--or even just new packaging for old ideas! Or is this on the same level as Norbit and the Pacifier?

I'm not even sure I ever saw Escape to Witch Mountain but I must have played that storybook album dozens of times as a kid. Ah, the days of no home video, when they'd make a record album from the movie's audio accompanied with a picture book. The main titles of the film are very James Bond, with kids and dogs instead of tits and guns.

I think I know why even the name sounds hot. It seems like a strange combination of the fun slang term "coochie" and what it refers to, "vagina". Then that combination is translated into Italian, and you get "Gugino".
