Somehow Apatows movies are very weak as far as real story goes, but are filled with so much heart, and are cast so perfectly, they become golden. Its almost like magic how these guys do it, and I'm glad someone else has brought it up. Can't wait for this flick and Pineapple Express. Apatow's got an extremely talented, and fun group of friends.

...the trailer and pre-release promotion made it out to be. If the guys who live to drink Apatow sperm are using "likeable" and "no one really stands out", you know normals are going to find it kind of ho hum to bad.

It's not very good. Both this and Walk Hard (which I disliked more than most people, granted) are a step down from Virgin, Knocked Up and Superbad. Fear not, Apatow fans. I have also already seen Pineapple Express and regardless of what you think about this or Walk Hard, that one's gonna knock you on your ass with laughter. Thanks to James Franco and Danny MacBride (who, incidentally will also rock everyone in Foot Fist Way and Tropic Thunder. Represent)

That trailer was awful. The music seemed like it was from one of those fake trailers that make movies like The Shining sound like comedies. I'll probably dig the movie, though.

I'm not gonna review it but I saw it and laughed alot. It's not as consistent as SUPERBAD and KNOCKED UP and the story is a little more generic romantic-comedy, but the cast is great and the jokes keep coming and I thought it was real funny. The Russell Brand guy I understand is some kind of spazzo idiot comic but I agree with Quint, he was actually very funny in this movie. Overall I thought it was much better than WALK HARD (which was only okay). PINEAPPLE EXPRESS is the one I'm really looking forward to, though.

"Knocked Up" was a borefest par excellence. "Superbad" was okay but not great. Judd Apatow & Seth Rogen are definitely overrated.

is hilarious, his radio 2 show gets made into a podcast that you can get off itunes and it's brilliant. His stand up is awesome too. I can see why he annoys people because he's really overexposed in the U.K but if you give his work a chance he might surprise you. And he was nut magazine's shagger of the year! Can't wait for this flick, Jason Segal was genius in freaks and Geeks and undeclared.

I saw this at a screening and there was SO MUCH penis in this movie. In total, at least a minute of footage of Jason Segel's penis and testicles. I always thought they were going to cut it out before the final release. Did they? I hope not, it was hilarious.
