Looks like another cheesy straight-to-video release to me -- can't believe they (Warner's, or whoever owns the rights) didn't give it more of a serious interest than this. And Corey's performance already appears to be bad acting. Although I really like the guy. They needed A-level talent in charge of this thing from the development stage, not the standard rich-kids-turned-filmmakers which seem to be making most of that crap that shows up on the video shelves now. I genuinely hope Corey gets something out of this, because I'd really like to see him back in some A-level pics again, he's very likeable and he's really cleaned up his act. Good to see at least one of the Frogs back but the rest of the film looks terrible. Its only the original soundtrack and the Corey that makes me want to at least give it a viewing. It doesnt look like theres much of a plot, just a lazy rehash of the first one. it looked just about right to me, an updated version of a classic that didn't really need an update. i'm still very pumped to check it out though. movies are just for fun, when you start seeing them as life and death you've got a real problem. just sit back and enjoy, or turn them off.

I think I have had enough of direct to video sequels. There is something to say when Joel Schumacher turns down a film. Film making is becoming much cheaper so the abilty to revive old popular films to turn a sequel is easy. I am in favor of limitations. I know you will all say the Corey's have to eat.... Does anyone really want to envision anything else like an 8th sandlot or the return to the labyrinth with Ashley Simpson in Bowies place. No there has to be limits on these 80's properties. I am scared as hell to read the next film Uwe Boll is making. Uwe Boll is tackling Metriod or Kid Icarus while the only thing that man should be tackling is a fundamentals of film theory course.

Headbands make people look tough. I sure hope they explain what the lost boys have been doing for twenty one years. By the looks of it. Living in a cave. If your going to update a story. 20 years later dont make it look like the freaking brady bunch movie where your main characters dress like they are still on the cover of bop or tiger beat. That looks fucking dreadful. Looks like it might be on par with The Covenant. Feldman just looks washed up and sad and desperate. They shouldn't be allowed to use that music in the trailer if they insist on making a film that looks like it should be going DTV and starring Jon Bon Jovi. Looks very cheap and lazily thrown together to cash in on the title. Which it probally was, since it wasn't all that long ago it was just a rumour, I think.

Did ANYONE seriously think this was going to be good? I mean, LOST BOYS is pretty much the best Schumacher movie he made - and I really, really liked FALLING DOWN and FLATLINERS. Feldman seems to get the line between taking it seriously and doing the tongue-in-cheek thing. Sutherland's half-brother? Up there with Steve Strait in THE COVENANT: as in, FUCKING AWFUL!!! By God, this will suck. And not in an emo vampire way. LOVE the remix of CRY LITTLE SISTER, though. Who's it by again???

why are people still acting like the DTV route isnt a fact? the trailer opens with the "warner premier" logo, that right there tells you its DTV. not to mention it just LOOKS it, not sure if DTV movies use different film or cameras since they have lower budgets but you can always tell when a movie is. anyway as for the movie itself, it doesnt look nearly as bad as all the whining over the internet makes it. its guaranteed to be a better vampire movie than Feldman's last one so that's a plus...and that one WAS theatrical.

i read some time back that haim only has a small part in the movie. possibly at the very end. one rumor was that it's supposed to be a surprise when haim shows up at the end and it's revealed he's the main vampire. kinda like that old guy in the original. it's gonna be lame but i'll still see it.

I've played it back and forth and back and forth on the MTV site and I'm convinced that Haim is in it. With exactly 20 seconds left on the time counter, after Feldman has delivered his surfboard shaper/vampire hunter line a character looks up and howls. It's Haim. Gotta be. I watched the Two Coreys and that's exactly what he looks like right now. In shape and very "Haimish". It's him. Gotta be.

You are so right! Lost boys totally started that comedy element in horror movies! Oh to remember the days before 1987 when horror movies were just scary and didn't have goofy comedy elements. I think I'm going to go watch Fright Night right now! Follow it up with the shiver inducing Once Bitten and who can forget the spine tingling terror of Teen Wolf. Oh the horrors of The Fearless Vampire Hunters will never escape me! Horror has had goofy humor mixed in it almost from day one. You can certainly see it emerging in Dracula's Daughter (1936).

It just doesn't get more eighties than that. I, for one, am looking forward another terrible sequel, and from what I've seen it looks to be just as spectacularly awful as the original.

Fuck Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Writers aren't respected, everyone on set makes more than the writer (even Kraft services- they have good pay and benefits), Most writers have one great script: two solid ones then it's over (except the mighty John Hughes who owned the entire eighties), Everone thinks they are smarter than the writer, and it takes a half a year to make a decent script. I'll stay a cisco engineer and keep making a shit load (of mulah that is).
