Although she's not a dark haired/eyed beauty, Laura Prepon would've been the one out of the two main 70's Show females that I'd imagine as Mona Sax (the name of said character in the game). Neither are ideal. Then again, while I give Mark Wahlberg more credit than some and he could look the part, I'm not sure if he's going to be able to carry the whole mopey, film-noir type narration the movie SHOULD have if it's going to be true at all to the game... Then again, I'm expecting a Hollywood film adaptation of a video game to be true to its roots... or even remotely good.....

It's been at least six months since I last looked into it, but I seem to remember Rockstar eventually (after years of no information being released about what was originally seen as an in the bag sequel) saying they have no plans to make a third. This isn't terrible casting, but Mona is a WOMAN as opposed to a girl...and if you ever played either of the two games, Max was voiced by James McCafferey; no WAY Wahlberg can match that world-weary tone (and I like the guy as an actor--but like Kunis, I think he's miscast). The closest thing we're gonna get to Max Payne onscreen is a movie we've already seen: Shoot Em Up! Like the Guinness Beer guys say, "BRILLIANT!" Silly as this may sound, I do believe Angelina Jolie woulda made a great Mona, and Clive Owen (with American accent) the best possible Max.

How can anyone compare these two products? Because both have Guns? Dont get me wrong, Shoot was a cool fun movie. But Payne is not about fun, its grizzly and dark. And for the guy who would have preffered GoW as a source, are you kidding me? Payne is one of THE finest examples of storytelling in game-history. They had the most movie-like-story for years... So please, compare SinCity or something like that, but keep Shoot#em an GoW out
