After they (whomever 'they' may be) have finished making this fourth Furious extravaganza, they can finally get on with the important task of making the fifth film in the Furious series. Then and only then will they finally be free to use the title that has been sitting patiently and waiting to be used since 2 Fast 2 Furious: GRANDMASTER FAST AND THE FURIOUS FIVE! I'm not sure who they could get to play Grandmaster Fast, but (obviously) it would have to be someone pretty fucking cool, like Kurt Russell or Wesley Snipes or Billy Bob Thornton. The Furious Five would be a team of racers consisting of Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Lucas Black, and that bland guy out of Torque who was also in that Britney Spears video. The team will try to take down Grandmaster Fast, but, let's face it, it's going to be pretty fucking hard, on account of his being Grandmaster Fast and all. He's the Muhammad Ali of driving garish cars really, really fast.

I've always thought this series was pretty enjoyable. They've got their flaws (especially 2Fast, which was a little too retarded even for me), but they're solid, non-taxing slices of entertainment. That's all they're meant to be, and they pull it off well - that's why they've continued to be popular and why more films will be made (fingers crossed, Grandmaster Fast And The Furious Five). Trouble is, the Furious films tend to rile up the movie snobs, who, for some reason, get their knickers in all sorts of knots whenever they're mentioned.

They put some good cars in these movies. The movies are bad, but the first and third were at least entertaining. But if they're making another one, it needs to have cool cars. Harken back the "Cannonball Run" days with Lamborghinis and Porsches and cards like that, and I think you'll at least please more people. The less expensive Japan made cars (while great cars I'll admit) aren't cool anymore... if they ever were. Put Vin in a Aston Martin chasing a bad guy in a Ferrari and I'll be interested.

Although I honestly like the sequels better than the first one because they're WAY more ridiculous. I actually know a whole bunch of people who were surprised to enjoy the third one, so it's good they brought that director back. Too bad they didn't include Lucas Black. I only watched the second one after enjoying the third, but man, that movie is hilarious. When the Universal logo suddenly sprouts hydraulics and bounces up and down you know what you're in for. And I still don' understand why the girl in the pink car has an animated version of herself on a little screen on her dashboard.

And I ended up enjoying it more than 1 and 2. I also liked the soundtrack. That Teriyaki Boyz song was pretty cool. Too bad the fake Jordana Brewster in the movie hasn't done anything else except for Venus razor commercials. I don't mistake these films for high art. They are pure cheeseball. But they serve their purpose. I do think that thr only way for Vin to redeem himself and make money again would be to team up with The Rock and make an action movie. The tow of those bastards should have played mercenaries in Rambo 4.

for all the people that like to rip a movie down by analyzing the dialogue and acting its not surprising that alot of u rarely enjoy any movie...i thought 1 and 2 were the best and 3 was so far off the mark, aside from the vin diesel cameo at the end....kinda like halloween 3 was totally off from any other movie in the series...cant wait to see part 4 and see old favorite characters coming back to the screen....wonder when vin is doing the next chapter in the riddick saga..chronicles was awesome. as for the bond title....i think "quantum of solace" just proves theyre running out of original names for bond films...maybe its time to stop making them.

The Fast and the Furious was the most unashamed rip-off of Point Break I have ever seen. In face, besides from trading surfing for street racing and the love interest's ex-boyfriend for a brother, the plotlines are an exact match. Cop goes undercover in a certain "world" to find thieves from that world, gets inside with the help of friends, friend/ guru teaches cop about the life as well as spiritual side, they bond, cop gets romantic interest, everything goes to shit. Even down to surfing the last wave/ racing last quarter mile.

I enjoyed the movies as well, and no they're not GREAT movies, but entertaining. HOWEVER, the "they should drop the and put REAL cars in it" didn't watch them did they? The first movie was climaxed with the Challenger. In the second one, the middle chase scene was like, Mustang, Viper, Ferrari, Corvette, etc, and the last half of the movie was all musclecars. In the third movie the first race was a Viper and a domestic muscle of some sort, the final race was won by a Mustang. Doesn't sound like nothing but rice rockets to me.
