JMS let the contract expired after the editor insisted on changing the script of an issue he wrote. He had a 'final approval' clause in his contract, but the editor declared it didn't apply if *he* wrote the issue.

That was the end of that. I don't think Joe would do B5 with them again unless they have a "we really mean it" clause in the contract.

Haha Merrick.

i usually buy everything by ennis, but somehow this series went under my radar...(this is what happens when you dont show up to your local comic shoppe every wednesday) the art looks great and twisted....is the storyline good, and is it comparable to preacher and punisher?

First off, I am a huge fan of Preacher (hope it doesn't become a film, but a miniseries on cable...and cast Katee Sackoff as Tulip). If you really, really hate superheroes, and you are already a fan of Ennis, 'The boys' will become your fave book of all time. I happen to love superhero books of all kinds, so the concept of "The Boys" is a bit much...imo it should have ended after the first mini. BUT, I still read it and laugh out loud. Generally it is loads of fun; having a background involving knowledge of comics makes it much more involving.

I thought it was a done deal after wrapping up after the four voyagers...

Wasn't Planetary a limited series with a finale scripted in from the get go?

well, Trik_Ster...

...the main story of PLANETARY is completed. Well before the last run of issues, though, Ellis siad he was going to do a one-shot epilogue that would come around a year after the main series ended. From what I remember, I think he's finished writing it and now it's just a matter of the art getting completed.
