hit and miss. At least on MillenniuM, some of the episodes that he wrote were fucking incredible, others were god-awful shitfests.

On the other hand, I only saw one episode of Moonlight, and it was pretty lame. So I dont't really care.

Joel Silver?

Maybe the last episode will have a showdown with a giant mechanical spider.

Moonlight is OK.. but not something that excited me like Angel did, which had a very similar concept. Would have loved to have seen what Greenwalt would have done with it.

This is a dumb, poorly written show. It didn't have anyone in charge that I could even see to begin with and is staffed by untalented hacks.

whoever said this is a dumb, poorly written show is a dumb, poorly educated shmuck....get off your keyboard and get a job writing if u can write better...wannabe 'turd hope it gets renewed, its not angel but it has potential....love the shows take on vampires, more realistic, less silly.

I just couldn't keep up with this show, and I initially tuned in because of its similarity to Angel and because I think Jason Dohring is cool, after watching him on Veronica Mars. But -- I don't know... this show didn't do anything for me.

Moonlight was the sexy tomboy beanpole of a vampire show we'd all been waiting for.... If we were a 60 pound overweight house frau.
CBS, renew MOONLIGHT! I need my weekly Sophia Myles fix!

Of course, Shannyn Sossamon isn't too hard on the eyes either. And it seems to be developing a decent mythos more than just the "vampire private detective" concept.
TV can renew this...but not Journeyman

Don't call people dumb and poorly educated if you can't even spell. And you don't have to be able to get a job as a writer to call something poorly-written, and baby, this show has been poorly-written so far.

That's not to say it's not fixable. I think it needs serious retooling, however...I'd abandon the whole private detective angle. Give Mick some other kind of purpose and maybe you can make something out of it. Maybe.

Jon Peters was the man with the giant mechanical spider fetish. For the record, I never liked this show, and dropped it from my DVR very early on.

Slkboxrman's post was dumb and poorly written, so he's trying to get a job on Moonlight. Terrible, terrible show. I read the CBS president saying she was in love with the star, so that explains how this crapfest is getting more episodes. Guess the star is taking one for the home team. Kid Nation, Moonlight, Viva Laughlin, Cane. CBS is toiletvision.

Sucks, bites, whatever.

I want to love everything vampire so I dutifully TiVo'ed this show and the opening Charlie Rose style interview where he clumsily lays out all the vampire rules of this show set the tone for this entire lackluster crapfest.

And why, oh God someone please tell me why, if the guy who you want to play your lead character is Australian, then why not just change the character a little bit so the poor dude doesn't sound like he's fighting a bad head cold all the time on top of muttering the ridiculous shit they had him saying all the time. Ditto goes for the English girl, if she's the best person for that role, then just make her English, shit, you assholes make the show up from scratch, right? You can change that detail so we don't have to watch these people over articulate their O's and Ah's. (And the English had the balls to bitch when Rene Zellweger was cast to play Bridget Jones.)

You're absolutely fucking right. And we're about to see two rehashes of The X-Files on both FOX and CBS... while the original is still around as a movie series.

Moonlight should be revamped as "CSI with vampires"

I'm not totally joking. I bet Les Mooves would love that. You have Mick solving murders CSI-style but using his vampire skills to do so. Memo to Joel Silver: This is how you can get another season from CBS.
get Ben Edlund as show runner...

Ben Edlund would work as showrunner for this series, although he may be too busy with *Supernatural* as a consulting producer. And then solicit some of the top horror/scifi genre writers to turn in some scripts. The show could use some more *Jekyll* gravitas added...say by Steven Moffat???

who they should get is that Joss Whedon guy

cause I'd love to see what he could do with a vampire PI. Oh wait, nevermind, he already made one, that was far better and critically acclaimed. To those of you who didn't enjoy Angel, to see our persepective imagine if Lost was inexplicably cancelled at the height of it's popularity, then a few months later a new show with an identical concept but with a drastic drop in quality of cast, acting, production and execution. And for some insane reason THIS piece of shit knockoff gets the studio support that it's superior predecessor didn't.
Smackfu...no Whedon!

There's no room for "girl empowerment" on Moonlight. I don't want the show soiled by any other male - gender traitor -feminists, thank you very much!
