Hopefully it was assembled on the same line as my Ford. That means the engine light will be on for no reason all the time, the interior will be cheap and flimsy and popping out of random spots, and the traction in the snow will be for absolute shit. Oh, and it will cost as much as a Honda but you won't get pesky features like resale value, good gas mileage or quality.

As for the excuse that there aren't any TransAms in production anymore, why couldn't they have lobbied Chevy for the new Camaro to be KITT? They certainly went full-tilt and paid through the nose for that car to be in BayFormers (which I did like, soon to be on Blu-ray). As for Herc dissin' the failed re-imagining of Night Stalker, I liked that show. One of the episodes that never aired was a down-right classic..."What's the Frequency, Kolchak?" Definitely check out the series on DVD through NetFlix...I myself hope Buena Vista will release it on Blu-ray soon because it had excellent visuals and was shot on HD.

The original was overflowing with cheese and stupidity. It was unrealistic and at times completely absurd- yet, at the same time, I loved it. Granted, I was seven, but, I still loved it. Who knows, maybe a new generation of children will fall in love with a guy in a leather jacket driving a talking car. As sad as I may be for doing so, I'll be watching tonight. Reliving your childhood every once in a while isn't such a bad thing. I still wish that Daniels was the voice of KITT. Regardless, I hope this show surprises me and is at least decent.

just caught it on canadian tv, and it's about what you'd expect it would be. if you were planning on enjoying it, you'll probably find something to like and if you think you're going to hate it, you probably will. the cast is decent, the script is extremely predicatable, the music is god awful... val kilmer doesn't even get a credit, believe it or not... still not sure how the network expects to go to series with kilmer as KITT, as i can't imagine he'll want to do voice over work for a tv series, but i guess we'll see. the act break cliffhangers are pretty bad, many are very predictable and poorly done. there's this one sequence where the bad guys are closing in on a hotel room and it's really poorly edited and you just know none of the bad guys have the right room anyway. the twists are lame as well... what's that you say? a body double? oh shit! the sheriff's dirty? also, the show's pretty frustrating to watch as well... the acts are like four minutes each before going to commercials. it's infuriating, you feel like you watched literally two scenes before it's back to ads. what's good about the show? ummm... i like the promise of a cool, action show every week, it's just a shame the film takes the full two hours to set that up... there's exactly one super sweet moment in the episode... you'll know it when you see it. all in all, not great, not by a long shot, but if it goes to series, i would likely catch the first episode.

By the way, it was one of the top 3 TV movies that year, and we finished the damn thing TWO WEEKS before the air date. Yeah, some of it was lame, but a helluva lot of fun to make. My favorite moment? The floating KITT starts to sink in the River Walk, and the PA's run around screaming "Hasselhoff is gonna drown!!!!" The AD gets on the radio and yells, "SHUT THE FUCK UP, the river's only three feet deep." Loved that.

It's so crappy. I mean it's so damn bland, full of cliche after cliche, and there's no action. Knight Rider is and always has been primarily an Action show yet this is full of teeny bopper smallville oc shit. I watch now only to see the Hoff. Hoff won't save this but it'll be nice to see him again. i bet his charisma will completely clear everyone else off the screen, these little pussy actors won't even make the slightest impression.

Back in the 80's LED's, a nifty Cylon voice, drawn in laser bolts, phaser fire, some bionic "sound effects", and some nifty computer graphics were about all it took to wow us. We overlooked the bad acting and cheese to watch a LED go "swish" back and forth on the front of a car or on some robots head. The wow factor is gone. These shows need to be more intelligent today. BSG was/is, while bionic bimbo and from the 20 minutes I sat through of Knight are not. They're trying to rely eye candy that no longer means anything. Talking car?? Whoop tee doo - my car talks all the time.

It takes true dedication to sit through two hours of a show you find disgusting just so you can bitch online the entire time. I must have missed the bit where the original "Knight Rider" was a groundbreaking drama that revolutionized television instead of the fun and at many times cheesy action show that I was a fan of then as a kid and still dig now. I seem to remember a Hoff line in the original pilot where he described KITT as "Darth Vader's bathroom." I can see why you think the humor of this simply can't compare. My only dissappointment will be if we don't see a turbo boost. Other than that, you kids need to unclench your assholes. Kee-rist.
