I agree, it was either a bad
script where Dennis Lee didn't
habe the guts to share some of
the very personal details or
some explanatory stuff landed
on the cutting room floor.
Also Lee used a lame excuse in
the press conference that the
actors were aware of the facts
about the characters he didn't
show us. Well - nevertheless
it would have helped the story
a great deal to put them in
and Hayden Panettiere's firey
speech that we (the audience)
don't need to know doesn't
hepl either. I really wanted
to know why there was such a
strong friendship between
young Michael Taylor and Jane.
Also I must add I found it
pretty cruel to crush the
fireflies with badminton
rackets, even though it was
nicely filmed.
