Are so FREAKING HOT! They are half the reason I watch this show, (besides the great stories and it being just an awesome show). God I hope one of them goes "Bad Girl" or "Artistic" in their careers and goes nude....... hmmmm...... :)

FNL just might be the best thing on right now. The cast is excellent, and it'll be a shame if it doesn't survive the strike. (sucks that by trying to prove their worth, the writers' will end up dooming their best works, which will be replaced by more unscripted reality garbage). And yes, Ms's Teegarden, Palicki, Kelly, and Britton are all quite tasty.

for the rest of the season. But how long can it really go on if the show is about high school football and all of the seniors have conveniently not graduated the first time around. However, I could see Tim Riggins failing out a few more years, and i would watch every minute of it. He is hotter than all of those girls.

I was in awe of how good it was originally and have come to love it. It's a huge shame if it gets cancelled. It's the best network drama I've ever seen. I can't praise it enough. I buy the first season for like everyone I know and they all love it too. This fuckin' sucks, can we start sending shit to NBC or what, any ideas on that?

In an interview he gave the other day, someone asked about FNL, and he kept saying that people should watch 30 Rock instead. And then he goes "FNL is a great show, but nobody watches it. We're NBC. We have a reputation to uphold."

Are you fucking kidding me? With the reality bullshit you're throwing at everyone you're talking about reputation? Please. Watch FNL. Tell all your friends to do the same tonight. Maybe there's still hope for this great show.

...trying to save a show with mail-it-in Jericho type stuff, but for FNL it's different. One of the best shows I've seen in a long, long time, and I pretty much watch everything.

I've always thought that we should mail in Clear Eyes (like the eye drops) and Valentine's Day hearts filled with chocolate, hence "Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, CAN'T LOSE!"

It felt forced. It reeked to me as the result of a network note "you need to spice things up next season; less sex, more violence, that's what people want". And putting it on Friday night ranks up there as one of the stupidest prgramming moves ever.

"We're NBC. We have a reputation to uphold" If that reputation includes being in last place and staying there, then I congratulate you sir, mission accomplished.

Well gee, I can't imagine why nobody watches it. A show about high school football, the most useless of all sports, broadcasting the same night as most high school football games? Only the people interested in HS Football would come within a mile of this show. Unfortunately, that audience is limited to the ex-jocks that are off from their shift at the Gas station down the street, whenever they aren't yelling at their fat ex-cheerleader wife that got pregnant the night of the 'big game', a game that only 5 people that actually played in the game remember and even less care about. Yeah, recipe for smash ratings hit this is. /bitter

Reportedly NBC is shopping it around. This season wobbled a little out of the gate (the Landry murder story line stinks of a network note to me) but has rallied strongly. When FNL hits on all 8 cylinders, it's as good as anything being broadcast today. I don't know if Hollywood has every gotten small town life right before, this show deserved its Peabody.

I generally hate ESPN and it's snarky style of reporting on SportsCenter, but this would be a great fit for them. It is a huge jump in quality from that football show they did (it was called "Playmakers?" I don't remember the name...) that shit on pro football so badly the NFL pressured them to cancel it. While I applaud NBC for keeping low rated, critically lauded shows like this and "30 Rock" on the air, what a bunch of morons in how they have promoted it. You have the fucking NFL on Sunday nights and you don't use it to promote FNL? Idiots.

I love the other football. World Cup, Champions League, Premiership (and the Brits are thinking about adding one more game to their schedule and playing league games overseas).

We remain unified in our love for K-Bell, however, and did you see the Forgetting Sarah Marshall red-band trailer yet? I think this is going to be the movie that sends Bell away from TV for a while and will make her an A-list movie star. The pieces are in place for it.

And I'll watch the FNL season (refuse to call it a series) finale as well. Does Herr Silverman hold a job in any other venue with the results he's produced in his abortion of a tenure with the network? Where are the stockholders? The execs who have seen their venture be 4th in a 5-horse field? Outrage, anyone?

Here's the interview that seanny_d referenced: Q: Quick question! A lot of us are happy that you've kept Friday Night Lights on the air despite lousy ratings. It's totally the best show on TV. But is there going to be another season? Silverman: "Do you watch 30 Rock? That's the best show on TV."

Q: Not regularly. But what about FNL? Silverman: "Start watching 30 Rock. It's the best show on TV."

Q: I don't want to watch 30 Rock. I want to watch FNL. I love it. Silverman: "I love it. You love it. Unfortunately, no one watches it. That's the thing with shows. People have to watch them. We're NBC, we have a reputation to uphold. And, man, with this writers' strike ... well, we'll see what we can do. But start watching 30 Rock."

Grrrrrrrrrr...doesn't look good. Hopefully they'll at least give them a few eps to film in March to end the show right.

I really enjoy FNL, but not enough people watch it when it airs. If you download the episode from a torrent or P2P site, you are not helping the show. You may be a fan, but you forget that networks have to put ads on for the show to make money for them. It seems when we get quality tv, people don't watch it. They will watch these stupid game shows that are wannabes of the classic game shows. Remember a show called Freaks and Geeks? This isn't that good, but similar to that, this show is probably going to get cancelled. Once it does, people will go out and buy the dvds, and complain it got cancelled. You have to watch it when it airs or shortly after you have it on Tivo or DVR.

If the movie does well and they replace Friday Night Lights with a show that will just end up like Bionic Woman would be a crime against humanity. And Shoe1985 to your point on DVR, FNL is in the top 5 of shows watched the next day on DVR.

Especially stuff between Coach and Mrs. Coach...just great stuff. And funny too. it's not all serious drama, there are funny moments or moments that you vaguely recall from being in high school. Just all around quality. I didn't think this show would be any good. I found the movie to be OK but lacking something. The movie was just...I don't know what the word I'm looking for but it seemed cruel almost. Maybe it was the Billy Bob Thornton character.

Have you seen or read anything about how they shoot the show? No rehearsals, no blocking. They encourage a lot of on-set improvisation and the cameras are free to shoot what they want. It helps create that sense that you are observing the lives of real people. I also like how FNL never really hits you over the head with obvious dramatic beats. The Smash scene from last week (the crying after the big speech) is a great example. They showed about 2 seconds (if that ) of him crying and then cut away, which made it more powerful. I don't understand why NBC can't move this to Bravo or USA if it doesn't pull high enough ratings.
