No bad thing but now sounds a lot different but in a good way. Gleeson is the man and Colin looks to be in fine form in this. My expectations were low, now high! Great interview!
Anybody seen Richie?

I loved his short that won an Oscar a while back...I can't wait to see this.

looks sort of like Guy Ritchie with a brain and a soul...and bigger laughs...

I guess basically I mean it takes place in the UK and there is more than one gun in it.

Maybe the best movie I saw at Sundance this year

Very funny AND very dark. The trailer doesn't reflect how intense this movie is at times, mostly depicting it as a "quirky, English gangster comedy." There's a lot of drama and pathos here as well, and these elements allow the characters to be developed to a much greater degree than most similar films. I laughed my ass off through most of it, but found myself shocked at the how deeply violent and sad the movie is at times. Looking forward to seeing it again when it comes out in wide release.

i was at the chicago screening, and the print of the film was totally fucked up and yet everyone still loved it. it's a testament to how good the writing is that the visual side can be totally fucked and you still get the same enjoyment.
Ouch, sorry to hear that...

I thought the visuals were gorgeous in the film. But at least you enjoyed it nonetheless.

Saw both Pillowman and Innishmore on broadway

Two brilliantly written plays, especially Pillowman. That first act is probably one of my favorite dialogue exchanges of all time. Innishmore, with the exception of David Wilmont who was fantastic, tended to get a bit to screamy for me. I wish the actors had taken a bit more time. Cannot fuckin' wait for In Bruges. Mcdonagh is gonna be a contender from here on out.
Saw the movie Saturday at a screening

Pretty funny stuff. Great cast and some truly absurd situations. Unfortunately the movie does suffer from making the characters a little softer than what their real life counterparts would be. Let's just say Ralph Fiennes' character mentions his limitations a little too out in the open for a successful gangster. Some hilarious exchanges, though. Great setting, too.
Great film, best at Sundance, but...

I didn't like the way he handled himself in this Capone interview. Sounds like a twat a little bit.
Some of his plays would make amazing films.

It makes me sad that he won't be writing anymore plays. I love Beauty Queen, Skull, Pillowman, and Inishmore. But I look forward to his film career. Loved Six Shooter. In Bruges looks great. I'd love to see some of his plays made as films, but only if he helmed them. Sounds like that won't be happening but I hope he has a long film career.
Plus he showed up drunk at an awards ceremony once

and told Sean Connery to fuck off, and that he only made one good movie in his life. I love him for that.

it wasn't just any awards ceremony, the QUEEN was there, and he didn't just argue with Sean Connery, he got into a fucking fistfight with him.

Saw Lieutenant of Inishmore and loved it. Missed Pillowman, but would *kill* to see a movie version.
