...so far.

Of course when the guy is actually killed and Pakistan explodes into civil war, I doubt we'll be laughing.

But until then, carry on!

I recently re-watched Two Hands, which for an Australian film is quite an achievement (except we seem to be developing a culture for crime-dramas...Underbelly anyone?) Its really such a shame, seeing as you know that The Dark Knight may just be his finest hour. I read that Nolan tribute a few days ago... and for me, like you Latauro, it was such a simple, beautiful tribute, unlike all the bullshit, utter crap you see printed by the 'journos' of New Idea. Apparently they have all the answers that the NYPD don't. I really felt that tragic loss, similar to you, something I have never felt with a celeb before. And on reflection, bar Blanchett, he really was the best Australia had to offer to the world. And thats no slur on Australia. He was Top Class.
I think i heard that Musharraf joke before..

Now I'm no brilliant writer, but that line is hilarious. Anyway, on the subject of Sweeney Todd, I felt it was dour with passionless acting and muted direction with no sense of scope. The art direction and costumes are impressive, not Burtons directing. Which more or less consists of close ups and people walking back and forth in a room while singing glumly to themselves.
Todd was okay...

...For a Burton film. Although I really liked Sleepy Hollow, and loved Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands...He just feels like a one trick pony. He brings a kiddy goth gloss to whatever project is chucked his way. Plus, his collaborators don't seem to get a fair shake considering they bring the most to the table. Meh, maybe I'm just jealous of the fucking hot chicks he gets to bang.

Yes, because it's inconceivable that two people could have come up with the same joke. No, I didn't rip anyone off, but it doesn't surprise me that someone else has done the Musharraf joke before. Nothing like a Next Week gag that requires twenty minutes of reading up on Pakistani electoral processes...

and laturo, forgive my inability to express sarcasm.. I should have pointed out that if it was reasonable for one person to come up with a joke, its reasonable for another..
