Ok. This obit is only really going to have relevance for the British and/or Europeans who tuned into You've Been Framed. Jeremy Beadle, the host of YBF and other shows like Just For A Laugh and Beadle's About passed away sometime yesterday of pneumonia, ages 59. He had been known to many over the past 15 years as an established presence in television entertainment and was with his wife and close friends when he passed. Tributes are already pouring in from all the over the British television circuit. Beadle was also known for his significant work for charity, especially fund-raising for Leukaemia, which Beadle had himself. On a personal note I'm really bummed by this news. I grew up watching YBF and I always had a great fondness for Beadle. He was lovable and always had a smile on his face. RIP buddy. Well not much of an obit, but it was honest.

I know this is a US run site, but the man was a legend on UK screens. I'll never forget when he parked a UFO outside some poor womans house and then a green alien came out of the spaceship. The woman carried on like it was a totally normal, every day event. Brilliant. RIP Beadle.

I understand the temptation on his part, having a franchise and all, but it's ridiculously beneath him. It sounds like he has at least a few better projects on his plate. That one with Michelle Williams sounds pretty good, when it comes off hiatus that is.

and I use that term loosely. Transformers was not a hit because of women. Die Hard 4 was not a hit because of women. X3 was not a hit because of women. The pendulum swings both ways. Women have no worse taste as a demographic than men. Both like different kinds of garbage, both like excellent films. But more than anything, people in general have bad taste.
