AICN has been a little slow today... honestly though, I heard about this film, and I thought it might be funny...but then I saw a preview of this before There Will Be Blood, and it just looked really mundane and sophomoric, and but for the gag of the vagina teeth, it seemed to be just another dumb teenage-appealing horror movie.

Wish I could go to this. If the premise is described to you, you imagine a certain kind of movie, and probably not a good one. But it's so much better than you this. And Jess Weixler gives a fantastic performance. Not a great performance for a horror movie. Just a great performance period. I hope this film becomes an underground hit and hope she has a long career ahead of her.

I don't want to see dicks in movies. I don't want to see them naked, cut off, bit off whatever. Most of the horror movie goers are dudes. Except for some of you gay guys out there, no man wants to see dick. I don't know what Eli Roth was thinking in Hostel 2 with two gratuitous dick shots. Ever since the bath tub scene in "I spit on your grave", I haven't had the need to see dicks cut off. Just sayin...

[Teeth] - "Oh my GAWD!! Im SO HAPPY! I can't believe I WON?!?!?! crys. Seriously.. WTF? When I saw the preview for this, I was CERTAIN it was a gag, possibly part of a reunion of the Wayan Brothers to make another scary movie. I mean.. seriously.. I expected the Gynecologist to start pulling out peanut butter jars and old license plates! This was made for one reason, and for one reason only... too scare da kids from playin wid da COOTCHIE!! It's a conspiracy I tells yas! Though, I AM curious... does she douche, or use mouthwash? Can she chew gum? Blow Bubbles? And you thought it hurt bad when YOU bit your cheek? Dentists visits must be awkward too... and I bet the other kids stare when she sucks on the lollypop after.

Edo Van Belkom (a great Canadian horror writer) wrote a novel called "Teeth" in 2001, about - guess what - a girl with teeth in her vag that kills people/eats tallywhakers. He better get credit for at least the inspiration for this. When I looked at the credits, he hasn't yet.

Fucking been waiting to see this and the Signal for at least a year now. Same with TWBB and Southland Tales. Fuck if you are not going to release a movie nation wide, why wait so long to go to DVD then? I think the Signal will actually get into theaters next month though.
