Cloverfield is the kind of movie the Farrellys might make if they (a) made intelligent films and (b) weren't obsessed with gross-out humour. The comedy here is just as outrageous, catching us completely off guard and sending us into spasms of laughter. But instead of coming from the toilet, it's all based on the unexpected and absurd... and it appeals to our brains just as much as our guts. 5 stars!

it does seem like we've known the basic plot for a while. in this interview: we know there was a main creature and then lots of little parasites like a week from when the trailer was released (though it wasn't "confirmed,") along with the fact that the party was because he was offered a job and trying to leave. hmm... i actually have avoided a lot of the hype and am looking forward to a fun time that might be a little smart, too. i hope.

The most likely reason he has a hyphenated name is because another actor has registered with SAG under the name Michael Stahl and/or Michael David. Before entering into SAG, an actor must select 3 names to be credited by. If someone else is already a registered member with your name, your 2nd & 3rd choices become available. For example, Samuel L. Jackson or Vanessa L. Williams use their middle initial because there are other actors who are registered as Sam Jackson and Vanessa Williams. If you look up Michael Stahl (as well as Sam Jackson or Vanessa Williams) on IMBD, you'll find mutiple perple with the same name.
