I support the strikers, but hey, they made an exception for Elizabeth Taylor, they should have collectively agreed that letting Heroes keep going would serve the greater good. a mediocre opening, the strike, rushed plot wrap-ups, hastily done finale...man...hopefully season 3 makes up for this all, and we can get back to the Heroes we saw in season 1, and are still hoping to see again.

I think Nathan will die tonight, because he hasn't really had a story this season. With the exception of his confrontation with Matt's father, he's been mainly in the background of events. I'm not sure the writers know what to do with him now and so I predict he's going to die (probably at Adam's hands) in order to make Peter see sense. And Nikki is another character who's been pushed into the background. I think her character has also run her course and so the writers will kill her off (probably dying whilst saving Monica so that she can be seen as a 'hero'). This would leave Micah with Monica. And we all know that something's gotta be up with his Nana Dawson. She's bloody Uhura! Surely that means she's got some big part to play otherwise it's a pretty thankless role. Will we discover she has some sort of power next season maybe?

Due to the strike, HEROES is ending early which - and I'm sad to say this - is a good thing in my eyes. It's been a rough, uneven season with a poor beginning and a rather rushed storyline. Thanks to this season Kring now realises what the audience wants from this show. Therefore, he has a few months to sit down with his writers and come up with something that actually goes back to the first season but also improves upon it. What I want next season is: (1) No more Company. I'm pretty tired of them as a bad guy. Either that or bring in some hard-ass military General type characyer to take it over. Make it look efficient and scary because, at the moment, it doesn't seem to be either. (2) Can we have Hiro and Ando back together please? They were the heart of season one and were a brilliant comedy pairing. It's been heart-breaking to see Ando pushed to the background and forced to be the guy who just pushes the plot along for Hiro. (3) A REAL bad guy please. I keep going on about this during the HEROES TBs but I want to see someone who makes me SCARED. I want someone who poses a REAL threat, much like the bad guys who pop up in '24' each season. Say what you will about the last season of that show but I'd rather watch James Cromwell fucking people over like he did than Adam doing...well, not much really. (4) Introduce the threat earlier this time. Show the audience what the stakes are in the first or second episode and make us go 'S**t! How are they going to stop THAT?" (5) Can we have Christoper Eccleston's invisible man back? I'm a Doctor Who fan and it was nice to see him last year. :)

I watched Shrooms yesterday. I really liked it! If you're a horror fan then I suggest you check it out. Even though I guessed what was going to happen in that last scene, I still thought it was a great horror flick.

Well, you will probably want to check out The Guardian and The Times. They're reliable sources of information over here in England. The Mail is also quite well established despite its political agenda ("Immigrants are bad!" "Gays are bad!" etc), not that its political agenda will be of much importance if you're looking for a guide. Don't touch The Sun, The Daily Sport or The Mirror. They are about as unreliable as a British train turning up on time. Although, in the case of the first two, you can rely on them for pictures of lovely naked women and accusations of politicians sucking each other off.

Sorry, I really can't answer that first question. I suppose I could ask my big sister who works for the Met; she'd probably be able to tell me if they offer tours. As for the second question, one of my friends went on a Jack The Ripper tour and she said it took her to most of the sites of the murder. I know Whitechapel did take a bit of a beating but I think a lot of the old city there is still pretty much intact. Sorry I couldn't be much help! I'll find out from my sister and about the first one and get back to you on another TB.

I will be a stride behind her and never watch Heroes again. I truly think she's been the season-long MVP of the show. You could make a case for Jack Coleman (again, as he had another great episode to showcase his talent - Cautionary Tales). But from the moment she stepped out of the cargo container in Fight or Flight, Bell hit the ground running and never looked back. She's got two quality Emmy submission tapes for Best Supporting Actress (Four Months Ago and the aforementioned 'Tales'). They're a better show with her than without her. I probably would have bailed 6 weeks ago if they hadn't signed her up.

The Company is lame as heck... feels like a poor man's Syndicate from "X-Files". Except the Syndicate was actually intelligent and menacing. Not to mention, what's up with "Heroes" getto black oil arc. And finally, I agree "Heroes" is really lacking in the evil villain department. They need a Magneto or a Joker type character... so far, all we've gotten are poor Bond knockoffs. I mean, even "24" has done better than that.

I think it's time that the writers stopped raising the stakes with "Saving The World". They did already in a very anticlimactic way last season. I think they should go another route. I think it would be better to watch a group of villains terrorizing NY with their abilities as if they were terrorists. And have the Heroes try to stop them. And as far as budget issues are concerned, if "Desperate Housewives" can afford a realistic looking CGI twister that demolishes their whole set, "Heroes" can shell out money for their finale too.

It would be cool to have more of an "Action Movie" plot. Sure Action Flicks can often be very cliched, but it would be a hell of a lot better than what we are seeing on the show now. You can even steal from the "Die Hard 4" plot by having a villain kidnap Micah in order to have him mess with the Government's PC systems to wreck havoc all over the place. I need to see chaos on a more realistic scale. Not this supergrand, "SAVE THE WORLD!!!!!!" nonsense. How many times can you save the world? "Heroes" needs to steal from "24" next season. Do a non stop season that also has a sense of urgency. It's the only way this show can rebound. And they also need to kill off main characters in the season premiere ala "24" season 5.

I must've been watching a different show. Perhaps I was spoiled by the fact that on "Veronica Mars", Kristen Bell easily held the screen for 40 minutes out of every 44 minute show. There are some really cool character concepts in Heroes (a time traveler, a super strong woman, a man who absorbs powers, an immortal man, a healing girl, a scientist who is trying to understand it all and "break the code" etc) but my G_d, what a damn waste of all this rich material. I like KB and giving her electric powers is cool, but what have they really done with her character that was so fantastic? Shown that she's a crazy sadist over and over? That there are some daddy issues? Watch her spill Slusho on herself as she 'confronts' Claire? WTF?! Is that the best story the writers could come up with for her? Can KB or any actress be happy with the material she's been given? And I like Hiro but that whole arc in Ancient So Cal was a total waste of air time. Kensei as an immortal villain who has lived 400+ years? Great idea! What they did with his character this season? A waste! The Wonder Twins arc? Stupid and a complete waste of time. Sylar losing his powers? Great Idea! Sticking him in a car with the wonder twins all this time? Stupid! A waste of his character's potential! Claire acting like a stupid idiot again was insanely stupid and a waste of her character. Making the supposedly brilliant Mohinder the only character that's dumber then Clair? A waste! Flying boy as a love interest? A waste. What they did with Ando and Uhura (or more like what they could've done with but didn't do anything about)? A crime. Not to mention all the asinine situations, motivations and actions that the writers have come up with. There is so much potential with the characters and the story. This could've been a great second season that promised an even greater third season but who knows what NBC has in store for this mess now. I don't often get upset but it's really damn... aggravating to see something so promising wasted with unbelievably bad writing.

Other than those characters, I find all the remaining characters to be very formulaic

doesn't die. Coz that would really suck. This season has had its ups and downs. Slow start, excellent from ep5 for me. Four Months Ago and Cautionary Tales being my favourite eps. Loved KB as Elle. Enjoyed Nathan more this season, despite him not having much to do. HRG as always! It's just weird. Volume 2 was always gonna end today (and link into volume 3, pre-strike-induced reshoots) but they have SO much to resolve in 1 ep!!! Last season finale they wasted loads of time recapping scenes and having Peter talking to Shaft. They can't do that at all this finale. Overwise things are gonna end up more rushed than they probably are. P.S. While I love Elle, I think KB should find a new show, one with better writers (coming from an uber Heroes fan) preferably on Showtime. Where she'll get more screentime and something to test her acting.

Sylar and Peter, they are too powerful Plus Sylar comes across as a necrophiliac serial rapist with mommy issues. Instead of raping corpses he defiles them. He's not big and bad, he's not a Hannibal Lecter, Doctor Doom, Professor Moriarty, or any other interesting villain. He's just a creep who got lucky. Peter's just a wimp loser that is way over powered. The character is unsalvagable D'hinder. If I want wishy-washy, I'll watch political news. The flying kid, West? is that his name? Totally forgettable character. Maya, tired of her. Was from her first appearance. Adam, another shallow villain. Again, not a Professor Moriarty or Doctor Doom, even though he's had hundreds of years to develop a powerful personality, study to become incredibly powerful intellect to deal with. But he's not, he's just a like a highschool punk that didn't get the girl he thought he deserved. How about next season you pick 6 or so characters and actually develop them. Not just have them just jump in ability just because the plot needs it. PS: Bring back DL somehow. He got the punk death that Sylar, Peter and D'ohinder deserve.

Who did not see that ending coming. This season was pretty bad. Convenient cameras, convenient uses of power, a fire to make the A-Team effects crew proud. And I'm pretty sure the writers cannot decide if the previous generation of heroes were good or bad or just screw-ups. Clearly the company is going to go back to being the REALLY bad guys in Season 3 instead of just the "not as bad as Sylar or Adam" guys. But Adam and Sylar are still around if needed to cover for more bad writing. Enough.

I fell in the company of people that were not satisfied with the first season of Heroes, with a few exceptions, and really not liking this season when it started. That being said, I've thoroughly enjoyed these last few episodes (and I can tell by the talkback, that this is not everyone's opinion), and now, with the writer's strike, and dipping ratings, and Heroes is in the msot trouble, I find myself enjoying it the most.

The blur is an in-camera effect so that you can have 2 people in focus within the same shot. In order to keep the outsides crisp, you have to fuzz up the middle.

Time travel, healing from any wound, mind wipes, mind reading, mind control. Yeah, Nathan could have revealed the secret and the Haitian could somehow wipe everyone's' mind as a reset. I can't think of a possible scenario that eight deus ex machina abilities can't fix. It makes the show have too many loopholes.

WOW. JUST WOW. I can't believe all of the absurd shit I just saw. What. The. Fuck. I won't be able to list it all since I need to run, but I had to vent. 1. Peter decides to use his telekinesis to open the vault door when he can WALK RIGHT THROUGH IT???? Even Adam knows he can do this!!! WTF!!! 2. Sylar gets away from Elle, and she can't find him... well, no one thinks to use MOLLY WALKER, THE GIRL WHO CAN FIND ANYONE!! She's sitting right frakking there!!! She just used her power in the previous scene!!! 3. Hiro has Adam alone in the vault... he can freeze time and Adam, but he chooses not to... maybe he was scared Peter would kick his ass again, but still WTF!! 4. Gotta still love how Peter refused to even try reading Adam or the people telling him Adam was bad in order to see who was telling the truth. 5. So... is Peter going to try using his blood on his brother or sit there like a dumbass? Seriously aaghh. Best part of this episode was the closing of Volume 2, and the promising beginning of Volume 3: VILLAINS. and SYLAR'S GOT HIS MOJO BACK. with the writers strike and the season ending early. But this was a big nothing for a season ending episode. Virus was destroyed, thats cool. Nothing else happened really. Nikki's died, maybe, we didn't really see it for sure. Even if she did die, so what, she was barely in the second season. Nathan was killed, maybe, you now have a do-over card in Claire blood, and Peter's blood also, so lets see if he stays dead. Sylar is back, That's a good thing right? I guess we can look forward to Sylar scooping more brains next season and, well, scooping more brains. I will wait for next season to see what happens. Kring admitted screwing up this season so it will be interesting to see what he plans to do to correct it.
