Look at all the crap we're hocking these days.

I know there is a wide variety of readers who visit this site, but let's be honest here, the majority of the demographic that makes up AICN users don't give a damn about 'The Land Before Time', 'General Hospital', or any of the Disney Channel sitcoms. So why the Hell does the site even bother wasting our time covering the DVD releases for that crap?
Thanks Herc

After your heads up, I ordered a few of those Looney Tunes DVD sets as Christmas presents for others. Those are kind of "no lose" gift prospects because I can't think of anyone who I like enough to send a present who would NOT enjoy watching Looney Tunes.

But this time its regarding that one day Buffy Chosen Collection sale at amazon. Last time they did this i wasnt able to get it but i got it now and its thanks to this site cuz otherwise i woulda found out when it was too late. Sure i already have all 7 seasons so it was totally pointless to get this but i like shiny "complete" sets so i had to...yeah, thats my excuse. But yeah thanks again, be sure to let us know if they do the same with the Angel set. Its already around 100$ so maybe a sale would have it at 50? dare i dream?

the amount of dud jokes and few funny ones is dissapointing. also it doesn't have a good overall movie plot nor does it work well as lil half hours. it just fucking wasnt good. I really wanted it to be, I just wasn't laughing.

I should have sent a review. Dammit.

It will be interesting to see how they cut this up for television viewing. There are no logical points for an "episode" to end. It's one big story.

It really expands on the whole Futurama mythos, and keeps the sense of humor we all love. It's worth checking out.

Downloaded it from the torrent sites where it was released weeks ago... Not that there is anything wrong with that, I just like the coyness, like all the reviewers were on the official press list or something...

I'm one of the reviewers and I'm a huge Futurama fan, so bite me for implying that I downloaded it. I live outside the U.S. and usually we get the imported stuff a couple of days prior to the official release. Don't ask me why, it just happens. I got my copy last friday and sent the review on sat. And yes, I did pay my hard-earned money for it. So like I said, bite me.
everyone Loves HynoToad is funnier than Family Guy

Also, that was the best Family Guy rip ever. 12 laughs a year, that sounds about right. The mentioned it in the commentary and I thought the same thing, they should try to sell Everyone Loves HypnoToad to a network.

I'm the second reviewer and its' the same deal with me - live in the UK, like most R1 DVDs I got it earrly. Last Monday in fact. There's no way I'd cheap out on Futurama, not when sales of it could influence more being made.

Futurama bit off more than it could chew
by WickedJacob

The plot is complicated and unwieldy, so too much time is spent trying to move it along smoothly. They should've picked something easier. It is sort of like BTTF2 in this way. Its also like BTTF2 in that it seems to be more about resurrecting old plots and characters than moving on to new chapters. I'm a little sick of Fry continually wanting Leela, starting to make some progress on that, and then the next episode "resetting" the relationship. If you like Futurama, you'll like this -- just remember to be prepared for inside jokes and over-used plotlines on a level that is more comparable to most fan-fiction than to the original episodes.

stretched to an hour long, Futurama was good, but a lot of the half hour eps were funnier. Next time more Zapp Brannigan. That character is comedy gold. And ironically 15 minutes is perfect for Tim and Eric, cuz any more and my brain would implode/explode/meltdown. I'd like to meet your dad.

Got my sweaty hands on the DVD at Target yesterday. Read the back of the box bullshit about carbon offsets and the Al Gore handjob therein so I dropped it like a baby seal. Those whackjobs won't get a dime of my money. I'll use NetFlix and fuck the carbon offset Nazis.

I bought it last night and can say that if you are a fan of Futurama, you need to own this movie. It's a total "love letter" to all of the fans who supported the series and brought it back from the grave. I have to admit that when I saw the call back to JURASSIC BARK, my geek heart skipped a beat. This should be on any fan's XMAS list this year.
