This site is like the opposite of Amity. They make all their money during the holidays. Pimp that merch!

Although the McQuarrie Vader/Luke thing is pretty sweet. The Star Wars merchandising has gone beyond the point of making toys out of characters who were only in the films for a second and they've moved on to concept art that was never in the movie. It is cool though.

Same thing with THE SIMPSONS: after molding/manufacturing variations of the same (central/supporting) characters--even Flanders--Playmates Toys developed action figures for one-shot players (featured only in a single episode, e.g. a dancer from the "Homer's Night Out" episode). Greed breeds desperation and Playmates flooded the market (the figures are selling for pennies on ebay).
