I think I speak for half of America when I say.. again.. who?? Yes, I read the press release. Most of the people, I do recognize. Many of them, I do not, which means many people do NOT know who half of these people are. Secondly, I don't care. Reality programming is ruining TV and the only good thing about the strike (other than writers hopefully getting their fair share) is that people are going to be so sick of reality TV in a few months that the fad will be over. I mean, the next logical step for reality tv would be for it to be integrated into our justice system. I can't wait for "Judge Judy:You Decide" season one featuring real criminals YOU can put away and throw away the key. The only downside being that trailer parks everywhere will empty their talent pools so fast we'll never get the chance to find out who the next Eminem would be.

Not so much Who? though seeing the name "Omarosa" again made me throw up a little. but WTF? I know AICN must be worrying about running out of TV news. Heck, I just tossed my TV Guide subscription renewal notice. No free coffee mug for me. But if anyone tells me that this - or any information about either Donald Trump or The Apprentice - is "cool news", I will mock them with cruel scorn. Fie!. Pshaw! Still, Carol Alt and Marilu Henner were pretty hot back in their day, and that one other guy I've actually heard of... nope, can't remember the name. Sorry, not famous enough. For this kind of nonsense there's no Chuck or Reaper talkback?

My bad, Gene simmons IS "famous enough". He was great on "Third Watch". and I think he was in a band that used to advertise on the back cover of Creem magazine. Mom's Apple Pie or Klaatu or something. I kid. I kid Kiss because they don't mean sheet to me.

I think a lot of these names are actually obscure, rather than D List. I give them credit for trying to not embarrass themselves completely with D-list people. But in doing so, they forgot their original thesis... which was to have a celebrity edition. I think I see the position these producers were in. They clearly arrived at the same conclusion most of did in three seconds - this isn't going to work. And then were told, "that's not an option." So someone tried to do a reasonable job of it. I feel really bad in saying, then, that faced with this dilemma, the best way to go might have been for broke. I mean, get Screech, get Elizabeth Berkeley, get the two Coreys, get anyone you can from Love Boat, get Evan Marriott, get Danny Bonaduce... Yeah, maybe we put you guys on the garden path. We said don't give us Kathy Griffin and Erik Estrada, but now we must admit that at least that would have been bizarre and amusing. The current list is just obscure and unriveting. Sorry, Ben Silverman. I give you credit for trying, though.

Those guys have made insane money selling all kinds of merchandise and whatnot to the same people over and over again. It's amazing. And just from seeing interviews here and there it seems like a lot of it comes from the band not managers, etc.

Sorry to all you haters, but there are some big names on that list. They didn't get any 'super-stars', but it is probably the best lineup I've seen of ANY 'celebrity' reality show. Plus, as much as you might hate trump, he knows how to make a buck and he's pretty damn entertaining.

No A-lister needs to do this, but how can anyone be saying "Who? Who?" Even I know a lot of these folks: Gene Simmons of KISS! This guy helped reinvent Rock and Roll in the seventies when all we had was the fricking Bee Gees and disco infernos. Nadia Comaneci MADE people watch the Olymics back in her day. Riveting. Vincent Pastore - even those of you with the attention span of an ADD fruitfly on crack should recognize "Big Pussy" from the Sopranos. I don't even GET HBO and I knew who he was (of course, I'm Sicilian Italian, so we have our own information network...) Stephen Baldwin is funnier, ballsier and so much more engaging as a born-again christian than he ever was in his pagan days. Plus Marilu Henner, Lennox Lewis, both recognizable to those of us who have already grown Hair One. Have a sense of history, folks. I know Jesus Jones sang about "Right Here, Right Now" and it seems like that's all there is, but due to the linear nature of time, we are able to appreciate this thing called "the past."
