Wow. That is an impressive list of cool. Van Damme playing Van Damme? A Korean Spaghetti Western? An Icelandic Evil Santa flick? I'm adding all these movies to my never-ending list of stuff to see.

It might be because I'm currently drunk, but I think van damme's got a lot of potential now that he's more seasoned and the stuff he got famous for doesn't really work on an audience anymore.
Just look at Jet Li in "Hero" or Stallone in "Rocky Balboa" (and HOPEFULLY in "Rambo(4)"(which by the way is the latest title) )

If Van Damme could make something decent and fresh all we'd need is a non aikido steven seagal movie. Maybe a western?

Did I mention I was drunk?

and by the way Im pretty sure you can see Jet Li fighting in the trailer. The JCVD thing looks really funny. Wasn't relly interested in the Korean western. I'm not really sure what to think about BLOOD RIVER. EYEBORGS looks interesting but cheap. Producers need a lot of experience when dealing with those kind of effects. The slasher movie doesn;t look that cool.

what a great idea for him. act in his native language, poke fun at himself, play himself in a movie about himself. the scene where he was meeting the people screen testing to play him in a movie he wasnt informed about. brilliant! i really hope this goes over well. the guy has come a long way as an actor, he just needs good direction and scripts and a big budget and i think his film could return to theatrical release. i wish he would have been cast in a Singer directed x-men 3 as Gambit, or been the baddie in rush hour 3. both would have gotten him back into mainstream movies.
I sent this JCVD news weeks ago

and yes, it's really funny and could become a cult comedy if it lives up to the premise.
Oh, and Dante 01 looks amazing too!

I mean, with all the lame French movies promoted here (Paris Je t'aime? C'mon!) due to "French touch" bullshit posture, it's good to hear from real innovative projects, and not half-baked short movies hastily put together in a 2 hours borefest.

Wasn't Blood River one of the proposed titles for the new Rambo flick?

The trailers for Dante 01, La Luna & Botella and Unholy Night look fantastic, looking at those makes me wonder why any real filmfan would feel the need to see any Hollywood films instead. Dante 01 surely looks like another great Caro movie, La Luna also looks sweeter than sweet, can't wait to see that and the Icelandic film about the murdering Yules (which tales i already knew about, my brother lives in Iceland) looks like another must see. All you hundreds of millions American so called "film geeks" really miss out on some of the greatest movies if you think all movies that are not English spoken simply aren't worth watching.
