But they're doing the twins thing again? The twin thing was kind of funny in Beerfest and self consciously lazy, but it might come off as even lazier this time. But maybe not. I wouldn't mind seeing them all playing various parts a la Kids in the Hall, but I'm not sure if they have that kind of range.

I know they're film fans and I appreciate that, but their movies are only funny to stupid teenage jerk offs who fuckin pound liquir, wrestle around with each other, and then throwup all over the place. Make a comedy with some substance.
Awful

Super Troopers wasn't great and every movie has gotten worse and less popular. Jay should stick to directing episodes of TV shows and movie comedies, as long as he promises to never make another TV adaptation again.
This sounds kind of like one of those old screwball comedies

Of the 30's just done really really fucked up the way that Broken Lizard does everything. Could be cool, I'm hoping for a lot of slapstick comedy.

Broken Lizard vs. Apatow Crew

Broken Lizard needs to do a flick centered around a popular name, like Apatow did with Carrell on 40-Year-Old Virgin. In turn that helped Rogen get some press, then Knocked Up was a hit, same with Superbad. I know Broken Lizard hitched their wagon to the star of Bill Paxton, but next time they can aim higher. Nothing against Paxton, but dude isn't exactly box office gold.

I enjoyed everything I've seen by these guys. After buying CLUB DREAD and rewatching it, I liked it even more the second time. Sadly, on opening weekend for it, my friend and I were the only two people in the theater. It was nuts.

I thought was a damn fine comedy. Club Dread worked for me to an extent. It's really hard to make horror comedies, so it actually worked more than I ever expected. I didn't like Beerfest, though.
Don't get me wrong, I am a Broken Lizard fan for sure...

Super Troopers and Beerfest were damn funny. I dig their style of humor. Obviously it's not everyones favorite, but I'd wager a bulk of the BL haters probably think SNL is the funniest thing on TV right now.

I'll admit, Club Dread was not that great, but Super Troopers is great and I really liked Beerfest. This one sounds like it could be really funny. Especially for me, since I work at a restaurant. If it's a sort of homage/reference to Glengarry Glen Ross, I hope they get Alec Baldwin. That would be awesome. Hell, even if it has nothing to do whatsoever with Glengarry, Alec Baldwin rocks anyway...
You're a joke if you don't think Super Troopers is funny

Yeah, and I stick by that. You can argue about the other two; Club Dread was weak, although I thought Beerfest was not without merit. And no I'm definitely not a college fratboy.

....it's a LOT more true than you might think it is. Hell, they could've slapped a "Based On A True Story" blurb at the beginning and I wouldn't have questioned it for a second (although I would have wanted royalties).

Club Dread was terrible but that was really early for them and that's pretty much to be expected. Beerfest was okay if you're into that kind of stuff, but Super Troopers set the bar really high. Hopefully having more control over their project, as they seem to have with this one, will let them knock one out of the park.
