Sorry for putting this in this talkback but I had to put it somewhere. 2 things: 1.) When the Butler tells Harry that there is no question that his father died from his own glider, that may very well be the truth, but how does the butler/Harry know that Spider-Man didn't take the glider from Goblin and then stab him with it? Just because he died from his own glider it doesn't automatically mean that he killed himself with it. Because Harry himself dies by his own glider but Venom is the one who kills him with it, not Harry himself. So the logic there is screwed up. Shame on you, Sam Raimi. 2.) In the alley scene when Venom recruits Sand Man, how would Eddie Brock/the symbiote know about Flint's sick daughter? Peter Parker didn't know about it up to that point and therefore neither did the symbiote and neither did Eddie Brock. Unless there was some unidentified newspaper article about Marko's sick daughter??? Either way that part was sort of a loose-end. There's no way Venom would've known about his daughter.

Diablo Cody (aka Brooke Busey-Hunt) is nothing more than a flavor of the minute scripter whose sole claim to fame is that she blogged about the time she spent as a stripper and managed to snag a book deal off it. She's a vapid, narcissistic writer whose sole talent is delivering faux-hipster witticism in place of real characterization and dialogue (which I guess makes Megan Fox a perfect fit to deliver it) while constantly clamoring for her own time in the spotlight. The script for JUNO, just like Cody’s tell-all memoir, is superficial tripe wrapped up in a weak bow of “sexual frankness” that seems designed only to push the envelope, rather than offering any real insight or character. Her voice is about on par with that of Kevin Williamson, consisting of little more than pop-cultural references and laughable “I’m cooler than you” winks. Once JUNO flops and JENNIFER’S BODY fizzles, I expect her career to pretty much follow the same trajectory as Williamson’s, too.

Evolution was horrible- I'm not sure about Californication, it seems to veer so wildly between excellence (When duchovney is on screen) and shite. Are you having an off day? normally you speak sense. On that finale- It was so fucking awful because the episode before actually set it up quite well. I was praying that everyone in the world (what a load of shite) was thinking about a magic "rewrite" button that would rewind the episode and have it start again without stupidity, deus ex machina, saccharine sentimentality (You can't stop them THINK!!! Aren't they wonderful- BLEUGH) and all the other RTD trademark flaws. What was a bit insulting was that they'd been promising that this would be "Martha's moment to shine" and instead we have to sit through more of her lovesick behaviour and she DIDN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING. You are right. Because all that we saw from her was puppy dog eyes we frankly did not care about her the same way we felt about Rose. That was a tragedy because she could have grown into a strong companion. RTD made the mistake of trying to transform her only in a montage of her traveling the world ruled by the Master. That montage lasted all of a couple of minutes. Rose was given two seasons to develop. I would even go far as to say that Sarah Jane has developed more plausibly than Martha.
