Is that like stop-motion/strobe-light Cosplay? Or live green screen integrated with pre-rendered anime? Hmm... Or figuring it's MIT we're talking about, are they stealing super computer time around the world in order to do real time mo-cap? Re: Disney. Disney animation from the 30's and 40's is still the best animation to beat. The modern stuff isn't bad but Snow White, Bambi etc are still the golden standard in my book. Re: Resident Evil. Lot's of potential in that series and "Advent Children" style CG would be perfect.

By the way, this is fucking awesome news. I remember a Publisher's Weekly interview earlier in the year where a Vertical Editor said he'd love to translate and release BLACK JACK. So this is pretty swanky.

No doubt influenced other popular medical themed manga like Iryu and Dr. Koto both of which were turned into pretty good live action TV dramas. Tezuka was a damn genius.

You wouldn't happen to have seen China's Sparkling Red Star?

I'm referring to the new animated feature version that was released in China by Puzzle Animation Studio Limited. I'm looking for the original live action theatrical feature so that I can do a comparison between the two.

I'd be interested in a review if you've seen it.

At first I was like "Haha, what the hell is this anime where they just talk about how to eat food" but then later I was like "FUCK THIS IS AWESOME"
