Whenever AICN writers start deep-throating the execs & stars of a movie via 'interviews', you never see any of the early, test-screening reviews we get w/every other flick. Pretty fucking lameass. I saw a preview in San Diego back in July (rough animation in some parts, just storyboards in others). The movie, as it was then, was just not funny. It was all over the place, incoherent, like they couldn't decide what the main plot was supposed to be. It had three or four good laughs, but mostly it was just dumb. You will see.

...is that they treat their movies like products and nothing more.While pixar care about the quality of their animated output, dreamworks dont give a fuck as long as their movies are released and follow a formula that audiences feel nice and secure with- you know innuendo for the grown ups and farts for the kids. Though dreamworks have made good animated movies in the past (Shrek, Antz) their bad shit out weighs the good stuff unlike pixar who've never made a bad movie. All of this animated mediocrity will eventually force people away dreamworks movies unless katzenberg and co start giving a shit about the quality of the movies they produce. Oh ,and Bee movie looks shit. I mean come on, ANOTHER CG talking insect movie ? Fuck man, be original.
