Blow your brains out when she's not even 2, thus leaving her in the custody of the Britney Spears of the 1990's, Courtney Love. I hope that kid turns out okay, but the chances are pretty effin' slim. Yes, Nirvana's a great band, and yes "Nevermind" is an all-time classic, but man, what a tool. Once children are involved, you owe it to yourself and them to get some help before taking the easy way out. Coming in 2012, the new Frances Bean solo album, "Daddy Issues."

I didn't get into Nirvina until after CObian's death although I was in high school and had friends that listened to it, i feel as if I missed out on a special moment in time. their unplugged was one of the best things MTV ever did and I was just talking last week with a friend about their performance on SNL. This sounds like an interesting docuo despite your feelings about Cobian just for the stylistic choices made and the oral history part of it.
so no nirvana music in the nirvana movie? lame

It's so retarded when people see suicide as a "selfish act". It is the loss of all hope and someone who does it probably isn't "thinking clearly" at that moment (especially if drugs are involved). Cobain was a bit of a fuckup and fucked up bad in the end, but to call him a selfish tool because he blew his brains out is just stupidity. Anyway, these documentaries on artists never really capture the person that well, even with numerous interviews. Maybe you'll get a glimpse inside man, but you are probably better of just listening to some Nirvana tracks if you want to feel what he was about.
I saw the trailer for this during the Tribeca film festival

And it was amazing just how prophetic it seemed to have Kurt Cobain narrating his own documentary after his death, because many of his comments seemed to be from beyond the grave. It looked pretty good.
Of course it's a selfish act.

You hurt and devastate the people around you, and they're all left to pick up your mess, literally, figuratively, financially, etc. And if a suicide leaves any children behind, you bloody well know they'll be scarred for the rest of their lives. How is it NOT a selfish act, regardless of your mental state or drug use?
Kurt Cobain did not commit suicide.

Anyone who is firmly convinced it's suicide should check out "Love & Death" by Max Wallace & Ian Halperin. I realize I'm opening myself up to criticism by even suggesting that it wasn't suicide, but the book presents some scary, very credible evidence for the possibility of murder, and the authors are both respected journalists.

I'm not a fan of Cobain or his music, but I read the book referenced above, and the evidence speaks for itself. All the strange cover ups, all the strange things surrounding Love. Read it, you won't believe the level of subterfuge on this thing. It will give you the creeps.

I've lived in Seattle most of my life. I saw Nirvana play shithole taverns and clubs playing to an audience that consisted of their whores and suck ups. Nirvana sucked then, they suck more now. The world is a better place without them. We should see more documentaries on Bon Scott, a much better vocalist and human being than kurt ever was.

NIRVANA WAS THE LAST GREAT BAND

Admit it, bands like Arcade Fire and Bloc Party are phony as hell compared to Nirvana's music and message. These guys are quicker to sell out their music to an Intel Processing Chip commerical than a fucking ignorant rapper. As soon as Cobain died, MTV rushed in with the glossy TRL bullshit, like a parade after a funeral. And it really hasn't stopped since then. System of a Down? Haha. Those guys are cool if you're 8 years old. Foo Fighters? Absolute garbage after their first album, the antithesis of what Nirvana was. The only modern day act that can hit you as hard as Nirvana still can is Wu-Tang Clan. Both of those acts transcended the bullshit and transcended the mind. Trully rebellious, relentless material. Definitely going to check out this doc.
