Can't wait for part two and three(it's a trilogy right?). The 10 min. imagination song was hilarious and so were the terrorists. That Mel Gibson might be a son of a bitch but he sure as hell knows story structure! Great!

Completely ridiculous and epic, putting each set of characters in their own situation. If this thing actually is three part, as it said, then I think they should have held this off, and made into a South Park movie. It has completely the right feel. Definitely one of the classic episodes, if not only for the Saving Private Ryan scene.

I've been posting this in as many forums to get the word out: Last night,South Park aired episode 10 of season 11.Entitled "Imagination Land" was BRILLIANT! Fans of "Orko","Snarf" and "TMNT" should enjoy the cameos.Plus there were so many film parodies, including a subtle "Serenity" bit. This is suppose to be a trilogy, which if it is,this should have been the next South Park film---it's that good. It is on again tonight,or try to find it online.Honestly the bit with Michael Bay was brilliant!

When he made Pearl Harbor. I miss you more than that movie missed the point. And that's an awful lot girl. And now, now you've gone away, and all I'm trying to say is Pearl Harbor sucked and I miss you. I need you like Ben Affleck needs acting school. He was terrible in that film. I need you like Cuba Gooding needed a bigger part. He's way better than Ben Affleck and now, all I can think about is your smile and that shitty movie too. Pearl Harbor sucks and I miss you. Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies? I guess Pearl Harbor sucked just a little bit more than I miss you.

Pretty amazing episode, every once in awhile Matt and Trey manage to step it up a notch and make a show so crazy and full of pop culture references that I have to watch it two or three times to get everything that is going on.

Best part was the military bringing in famous directors to give them ideas on how to fight the terrorists, and finding out they have no ideas. Except for Mel Gibson, who despite being completely crazy still knows "story structure".

I couldn't help but notice that Jesus and Mohammed were not in Imagination Land, of course they were actually people, whether or not you believe that have any connection with a higher power. I wonder if Matt and Trey will get death threats from worshipers of Anubis or Buddha.

because if they come back next week to finish and start with that same retarded terrance and phillip bull-shit again like they did with the mystery of cartman's dad and the family guy thing, i will roll my eyes uncontrollably and fucking puke on the t.v. and don't get me wrong, it's at the moment my all-time favorite show and it's a thousand times funnier and smarter than the fucking simpsons and family guy will ever be, but it's kind of playing it too safe now because all the shit that happened in season 10 and they need to stop being so fucking preachy and every two seconds making fun of classic made-up charectors, celebrities and great films because all that bull-shit reached it's limit when they lost that emmy that was supposed to go to the closet tom cruise episode and it went to another great cartoon. i hope they give butters a lot more great stuff to do pretty soon. or go the looney tunes route and continue to do jimmy/timmy and randy stuff that totally and unintentionally kills.

Was that the characters didn't use their powers. We saw that the Leprecan used its powers, so why didn't Flash, the ninja turtles, or Optimus Prime fight back? Minor bitch in the overall structure of the story, I know, but was a little let down. Fucking towelheads blowing up our fictional heroes!

I presume that the characters on the other side of the wall will be the classic villains. Perhaps they'll act.

Yes. The military talked to Shama-la-loma-ding dong, Bay, and Gibson to see if they could imagine how the terrorists may attack (which happens in real life, btw). Shama was ripped for not making any sense and coming up only with plot twists; Bay was ripped for wanting explosions without any story; and Gibson was weird but knew plot structure.

Uncle Remus?!?!
by ZeroCorpse

They actually had Uncle Remus from "Song of the South" in there!

And didn't anybody notice that the character were all "good guys"? On the other side of the wall, as much as I'd like to think it's Osama Bin Laden, I believe we'll see Skeletor, Dr. Doom, Cobra Commander, Witchiepoo, Hoodoo, and other villains from imagination.

And if this trilogy ends with an episode in which they show scenes from a war (Strawberry Shortcake losing a battle against Skeletor, Optimus Prime stepping on the Joker) or something like that I think I'll geeksplode.

It won't be Cobra Commander, it'll be a lot more hardcore.

The cameos (and Carebear capping) reminded me of the Red Dwarf episode Wax World, when the crew arrived on the wax museum planet to find all of the figures were at war. Watching the Care Bear get it connected me back to Lister describing Winnie the Pooh dying via firing squad.

Nothing great, but I'm curious as to where this trilogy is going. It better lead somewhere good, otherwise this could be the start of the end for South Park. Its lampooning of celebrities is starting to get as annoying as the celebrities they lampoon. I like the fact that Cartman is slowly becoming gay though...that has great comic possibilities.

Just shut the fuck up. Every fucking year and every fucking episode everyone says the end of south park is near - people have been saying it since fucking season 1, since the movie, since season 6, since season 10, and even these past few episodes. Just shut the fuck up if you're going to rant about how south park is not going to be good with the next episodes. South Park has PROVEN time after time again that it is fucking brilliant and that nothing can stop it from being brilliant, except Matt and Trey said they would only quit if the censors ride them more than the whole Cartoon Wars fiasco.
The South Park formula is getting tired
by Bobo_Vision
Oct 21st, 2007
07:53:43 AM
Sorry if that frightens you tme2nsb, but its true. South Park rips on other programs for having tired formulas, but theirs is getting stale. They typically have huge set-ups, and all the pay off comes at the end. Each episode is one big joke, with minor laughs in between. Its getting old. I don't think South Park will get cancelled, but I do think Matt and Trey will eventually admit to being all dried up and tired with the show themselves.

Or maybe made the leprechuan in the SP episodethe one from Lucky Charms. Also at the very end of SP, was that a Rambo or Jack Baur spoof.
