But what's with the funky camera work they're doing now during Charlie's math lessons?
Let's think about it, guys

Woman-heavy procedural airing on Friday night. Target audience? Single women without dates and married women whose spouse is out playing poker. Look for a lot of Haagen-Daas commercials.
BTW, Herc:

We're getting a Price is Right talkback on Monday, right?
I bet you all this will last at least a season.

Remember that ABC's new target demo is anyone with a Vagina. This show has a Lifetime TV premise but it's on ABC. Shows like The Division and Strong Medicine found an audience of women. And Angie Harmon is a familiar face. This show will do OK enough to make it to the end of the season.
So how many of the ladies in your lives are pumped for this show

My wife is stoked and I refuse to watch. I already watch Grey's and Desparate Housewives w/ her. Enough's enough.

But it wouldn't matter if she did. I get the DVR in the living room and she controls the DVR in the bedroom. 2 DVR's. It really can't recommend it enough.

Herc, it blows my mind how you can talk about great shows that Craft has been a part of and not mention the Shield. As usual, your Whedon - fan boy-ism goes into overdrive and you can only think "JOSS JOSS JOSS JOSS JOSS JOSS JOSS". Whats that? You've never gotten into The Shield? What is a TV critic who publishes a daily updated column think he's doing judging shows if he has never gotten into the amazing The Shield? I'm sorry Herc, I give you a lot of shit but really thats kind of inexcusable (but at the same time, I don't want to detract from your enthusiasm for Angel). As for this show... count me out. Although the girl who used to be in Point Pleasant (God, I can't believe that I watched that show!?!?!) is kind of cute.
I'm not skipping "Moonlight" for Shit like WMC

Its tagline: "Another Procedural - But This Time With Vaginas!" Fuck 'em. If you want an excellent feminine cop, watch "The Closer." I predict this will go the way of Fox's girls club. Give me a sexy vampire over Law & Order: Crazy Bitches Unit any day.
Was "Underneath" the episode with the WWII Submarine Guy?

This is gonna get canceled so quick! Every show they compare it to other than CSI and Law & Order sucks. Oh, and James Patterson's books suck,

But they did it last week as well, and I don't believe Tony Scott did that ep. I hope it's not a permanent feature because it doesn't add anything (except nausea).

Because of this. I haven't seen the show, so I don't know whether it's decent or not, but damn, it can't be better than DLM.

"Underneath" was tremendous TV but I, like Herc, have stayed away from Cop Drama's since the demise Of "Homicide". Also, I the name. Should have just called it "Murder Club". I'm a woman but I find that kind of pandering annoying.

And I'd assume the target audience for a show with four besutiful women would be single males who can't get dates and stay home on Friday nights. Or married men looking for a sexy show they can watch with their wives.

I thought only comic book writers and amateur pornographers went with the Blonde/Brunette/Redhead/Black Girl formula (or ABC's Desperate Housewives formula if you substiture Mexican for Black Girl). Who would you cast in the Mad parody: the Spice Girls or Josie and the Pussycats?

My big disappointment was that the skinny blonde with the boy haircut and the mannish suit turned out to be so enthusiastically hetero. She would have made such an adorable little dyke.

Also, did any comic geeks notice that the recurring serial killer subplot was Michael Fleisher's old Spider-Woman villain "The Needle"?

Gee, Angie and the Pussycats vs. an old Spider-Woman villain. At least they're borrowing from some classic sources.

Give us more (and better) Alex Cross

I want to see more Alex Cross before Freeman dies. Or (as has been mentioned), relaunch the franchise with Will Smith. Cross is ALWAYS refered to as looking like a "young Ali". I wouldn't mind a couple movies with The Wolf or go back and do my favorite, "Jack and Jill".
How about a Friday Night Lights talkback.
