That sucks. The larger format, and flopped pages,

are what drew me to BOTI. But at least DH's manga graphic novels aren't as ey-strainingly tiny as their competitor's.
Another Awesome Manga...

...that more people should read. I'm sad to see the monthly go, but I do hope that people read this and realize that they should give this amazing series a chance.
Been meaning to check this out...

So I take it the story's not done yet, but due to lack of sales they're stopping? Too bad... BUt I guess I'm partly to blame for not checking this out sooner... :P But is this story ever planned to end or is it just an ongoing series until they feel like it?
phew I got scared for a moment

I thought the series was being cancelled by the headline. So basically it'll still be going but only in trades. No problem since thats how I read em anyway.

I also though for a second that the only title I've consistently collected since 1997 was coming to an end. I pick up all the trades anyway so this is no great inconvenience - still, I'll miss the monthly installments - it was always something I looked forward to each month. Bulk editions or not, BOTI is one of the best (if not the best) picture book to come on the seen in recent memory. luckily I started picking up the new Thor series, which is starting to kick ass, which should give me some entertainment month to month while waiting for Blade trades.
I miss it already...

I can't believe this. I think my heart just broke a little...I can't wait months for the TPBs, not after I've loyally bought each monthly issue since I was in 11th grade and now I'm 22. Ever since then Samura has been my artistic inspiration and influence. Well, I'll continue buying the trades...though, as he said, trades don't make for a good reading/eating experience...As Dingbatty said, at least the trades aren't as small as most. That wouldn't do Samura's amazing art any justice. Well, hopefully people will see this and realize if they're not reading Blade, they're missing out on breathtaking art, a thrilling story and human characters. Blade of the Immortal will forever remain my favorite comic, Japanese or not.
