Fox has decided to hold it, perhaps for midseason. Maybe they'll pull a "Drive" on it. This show just angers me more that the WB cancelled Angel just as it was hitting it best stride. I don't know maybe it was so good because Whedon & Co. knew it was their swansong.

Seriously. Forever Knight--Nick had a convertible (in Toronto!), and a "sun allergy" (gotta love that), and Angel drove yet another convertible. This character, who sounds like he isn't even Andrew-worthy (and Faith wouldv'e staked within three minutes of meeting him), *also* has to have a convertible? And fall in love with yet another fake blonde? Puh-leeze. Why didn't they just pick up Drive from Fox? They did it with JAG...

The one were the Police ex-choper pilot has gone blind and is slowy dying from MS. Then her ever faithfull seeing eye dog is attacked by a low level vampire the ones that feed on animales. well any way he turnes the dog into a vampire dog, who can fly and attacks and feeds off muggers and low lifes. The hero vampire cop has to destroy the dog, but the mutt breaks away and attacks his blind owner. Not to kill her but to turn her into a vampire. knight rushes into the room to see that she now can see and is cured of her MS and her patting the dog on the head and telling him, "Good dogie!" i think her fangs were growing too. Last scene the two of them are standing alone as the sun is setting , then they take off and fly away. The Moral= a dodg may be man's best friend. But a vampire mutt is a dying blind woman's best friend of all!

"Forever Knight" Nick Knight (1989)

etective Nick Knight is investigating a series of murders in which the bodies are found drained of blood - but the most recent one doesn't fit the pattern. Instead it involves the cure that Nick has been searching for for decades, so that he himself can face the light of day. Later remade as the first two episodes of Forever Knight.

Still I think this has potential. This show has way more in common with "Forever Knight" than "Angel" Forverver Knight never fully lived up to its. (Maybe during the last season but that was 12 years ago) Also find it interesting that people are ready to write things off based on the pilot give it 4 - 6 eps. I seem to recall no one giving Ghost Whisperer much hope and it just started season 3

disliked the two female leads, but liked the two male leads. i really like jason dohring, and was surprised at how much i didn't hate alex o'loughlin. didn't care for the "mystery" they were trying to solve, but did like the new vampire rules. i know there'll probably be vampire purists who will say "but vampires die if they're staked!" or "vampires can't go into the sun!" but i think the show's new rules are kinda cool. overall, a just okay pilot that i think could have some potential. i'll give it a few more hours.

The phrase copied in the Subject line can be used in just about any review for TV this season. (The first episode of "Life" was good.)

The reason that these shows seem amateurish is that they are made by 19-year-old hustlers who suck more than the shows.

MOONLIGHT isn't going to crack the internet in half, but it wasn't as bad as most of the reviews would lead you to believe. Sophia Myles is as hot as ever and I can't believe no one mentioned that Marshall J. Flinkman from ALIAS is the resident "tech guy."

The wife really liked it, though, so I think CBS has found itself a nice companion series for GHOST WHISPERER. If nothing else, at least it's something you can watch after flipping over from DOCTOR WHO on Sci Fi...

1) I didn't realize the main character's name was Mick, not Nick, until I saw a commercial for it later in the night, pretty much sums up how much I cared about the character. 2) Seems to have more in common with CSI than with previous TV shows about vampires which I liked much better. 3) I not only knew the murderer right when I saw him, my 13 year old daughter figured it out pretty quickly after I did. I think CBS could very easily keep this shit on way past its expiration date, but I won't be tuning in.

with production, I'm willing to overlook a bad pilot, 'cause the cast might be worth watching if they're given something to work with. But the pilot was really was kind of sucky.

But I think the real problem will be that this show will probably just follow the CBS drama formula -- dull and rote procedurals with any sharpness or edge rounded right off so that it can remain palatable to the old folks who watch the network. Just like with Jericho, a show that started with what could be a neat premise, dumbed down, sanitized, and made innocuous.

Forget that O'Laughlin has no personality, forget that Myles has a terrible American accent and that Sossamon is as idiotic as ever - whatever possessed Jason Dohring to take a job on this hot mess? The Scientologists are letting him down in a big way - surely they could have come up with a better gig than this. He's such a great actor and presence, and even he can't save this piece of dreck. although I laughed aloud at the "new kind of hero" plug. It's not. But this has a lot more in common with a few of the paranormal romance novels of the last few years. I"m almost positive one of them had the vamp made by his wife. The visuals remind me a lot of Forever Knight with a budget. And the guy who plays St. John has a lot of charisma. I wished I had took the time to chat with him a Comicon, but I did get to spend time with Sophia, and she's a real sweet heart. Rudolph Martin is so NOT aging well. What the heck happened to him?

The show is far more "Forever Knight" (or "Nick Night") than "Angel". In fact, "Torchwood" is closer to "Angel" than this. Sophia Myles was great. The child actress that played her character in the flashback looked a lot like the child actress who did the same thing for Myles in the Doctor Who episode "The Girl in the Fireplace" from last year. Don't be sour grapes over this show, Herc.

"Life" bored me. And here I thought "Journeyman" was going to be the let-down of the season, not counting Kevin McKidd, of course. In retrospect, I'm getting a "Highlander" vibe off "Moonlight". If the series survives, I wonder if they'll cast David Tennant in a guest role.

Wow. The acting was bad, the writing was bad, everyone acted and spoke in cliches, WAY too much is explained through forced dialogue and the rest of the dialogue felt like it was forcing the plot forward. Oh, and yes, the villain in the first ep WAS obvious the second he came on screen. The show would have been WAY better if they made it more like the commercials and the opining...with a cocky, vampire know it all. Instead they tease it and try to rip off Angel by having the brooding loner.

I don't know an easier meduim to work in if this is what they choose to put on a primetime network line-up... Apparently what passes for a great idea in television is what they cal plagerism is the real world... I have never seen Forever Knight, but the plot, look, characters, and entire premise is such a rip from Angel that I can't believe it wasn't laughed out of the board room... Well I guess its a comfort to know that if a great show like Angel can't make it on this premise, this show won't last long...last time I checked CBS wasn't exactly pulling in young viewers who would be the audience I guess... horrible TC

Seriously, based on the TV shows lately, I feel like saying, (and you've gotta imagine this in a creaky old-folks voice) "Back in my day, sonny, we had real vampire detective television! Forever Knight, Angel... now they were *real* vampires! Not those pale pointy-toothed imitations you see now-a-days. And we had to walk five miles just to see them, uphill, both ways, barefoot through the snow..."
Cynical, I know, (especially at the tender age of 35) but after walking in from work about halfway through tonight's ML repeat, I find myself wondering why today's shows just can't live up to my fond memories of yesterday.
Even starting about halfway in to the pilot, I was up to speed and predicting major plot points in moments. The story was negligible at best, same-old same-old stuff that I feel like I've seen a thousand times before. The lead was OK, I guess, but kind of bland for this type of show's "designated hunk". Sossamon makes a decent Faux-Drusilla, from what little I saw.
Will it last? No clue. I far preferred the nuanced, intricately-plotted, under-appreciated gem that was Angel, or even the semi-original-at-the-time Forever Night, in Rick Springfield or Geraint Wyn-Davies flavor. I certainly don't feel like making Moonlight my must-see TV. (But then, the shows I like tank and stuff I can't stand hits. *shrugs*) I'll take six weeks in the dead pool, and raise you this-- if it does happen to go eight weeks, we'll get the inevitable return of Faux-Dru. Yeah, I know, she was trapped in a burning building, but no-one's ever truly dead in cliche-ridden hack-jobs like this. The only reason I can think of to watch this: it's fun to heckle. Though it would have to improve about a hundred-fold to deserve the comment "it sucks."

Wasn't that the name of the werewolf show that had no werewolves on it? At least no interesting werewolves anyway. Now comes a vampire show that breaks all the rules and features a non- interesting vampire. So every week Lois gets in trouble and Supervamp rescues her. I don't think the problem is completely the actors although I don't know why they can't let them keep their own accents. When was it uncool to be British in America apart from 200 + years ago?

Let me start off by Saying, I like Buffy, I like Angel, and Moonlight is nothing like either show. So far it's lasted 13 episodes, and has 3 more left of it's current season. With 8 million + watching each episode, it's very possible that the series might be renewed for a second season. People should give this show a chance, and if you like the few episodes you can stream from CBS's site let em know.
