Goyer should do everything possible to stay away from vampire-hunting films after "Blade 3." Please!
Hmm Goya directing?

Not sure about that, Blade 3 was pretty good, but is that enough?

hanging on my wall. His stuff's so cool no one even makes fun of it (unlike, say, if I had a Rob Liefield orginal page up). Good news, but Goyer is a hack!

That pilot show thing was freaking awesome. How could Sci-Fi not pick that up? I guess they'd rather keep playing those 'Giant Animal' scary movies over and over instead of creating quality animated programming?
Has Goyer EVER directed a successful movie?

Zigzag. Blade: Trinity. The Invisible. I'm sorry, what am I missing here? The guy's 0 for 3. He's lost money every time. But every week he's listed as directing another comic book movie. What happened to Magneto?
Goyer CAN write ... but BLADE Trinity?!

I don't know what exec. would allow him back behind a camera!? If you can't make a good movie with Jessica Beihl AND Ryan Reynolds (and DESPITE Wesley Snipes) then you probably can't make a good movie. Step away from the camera sir ... let me see those hands ... slowly
Red King sounds a bit Stephen Kingy

Goyer may be one of the worst, most talentless directors to every get behind a camera. He should stick to writing. The two talents aren't necessarily transferrable.

Or Golden's Hellboy books? I almost picked it up the other day, too because I'm such a fan of Mignola and Hellboy, but then I told myself I'd wait for the paperback. Maybe that was a mistake?

More genius from Mignola. He is the man. I'm happy for him that, after years struggling to make it in comics, he's finally being recognized for his work, and making great bank as well.

Seriously, he's like a professional fanfic writer! He's done a bunch of novels on Hellboy and the Buffyverse (but no crossovers between the two, unfortunately) and he writes the established characters really well. I haven't read any of his original stuff (didn't even know about this one), but I'd be very interested to see how the film turns out.
let's give goyer a chance

Too bad they're hiring that shithead to direct it. But, anyway, Baltimore is an incredible book. There's a Mignola drawing in there of Baltimore, the first time he's introduced in full 'hunter' mode, that I absolutely HAVE to have on my wall. This could make a great film - let's hope Goyer finds a way to get himself fired before it's too late.
