The "Dinobot and the Cretaceous Commandos" one. I still have nostalgic memories of the first JP and good memories of the third one (the second one never was), so I would like to smash the skull of the creature that proposed the dino strike force idea with a coprolite.

Even if its Bruckheimer he is not going to be allowed to rip off one of the greatest comics of the last 10 years. If this goes into production i hope he gets his ass sued by WB for this. WE3 needs to be fast tracked by WB executives NOW. I could see WE3 being directed by Peter Jackson. Thats how important WE3 is.

i agree that we3 is a brilliant comic, but what about the people who have never heard of it? i bought it in issue form as it came out, and i've lent it out to several people, but for those who are unfamiliar with WE3, here's some info from amazon:

This title reads a bit like Robocop meets Homeward Bound meets the final scene of The Wild Bunch. In it, animals are being transformed into intelligent experimental weapons, and three in particular are trained to work together as a team known as WE3. When the animals formerly known as Bandit the dog, Tinker the cat, and Pirate the rabbit are decommissioned and condemned to death, their doctor/trainer decides to let them escape. What follows is a series of action-packed and heartbreaking chase and fight scenes between the lethal animals and the United States military. The artwork is innovative and breathtaking, and there are several pages without text. While this requires some concentration, those who take time to look carefully at all of the images will witness an amazing story. This book pulls no punches; sensitive readers will be moved to tears, and animal lovers might be moved to put the book down for a while before picking it up again. The violence is often graphic, but those who wade through all the blood will be rewarded with some badly needed closure. Compelling, moving, and disturbing, this is a thought-provoking work for mature readers.–Andrea Lipinski, New York Public Library

Tony Scott to be Bay-like, with a smidge more talent, and who got lucky with a good script in True Romance..just curious..Oh, and no debate...Pirates 3 owes me the time it sucked from my life and the admission price.

...until DOMINO. I decided that as I'd never had an epileptic fit before, I didn't want to start now, and so I watched that shit at half speed. It still made no sense.

Stylistically, Tony Scott took the heavy saturation, simplistic colour palette and stylish editing from the commercials he did in the 80s (especially that kick-ass Saab commercial), and applied it to film. After he met Bruckheimer, the influence spread to the Bruck, who began imposing it on everyone he worked with. Scott begat Bay (watch BAD BOYS and tell me Bay hasn't crossed TOP GUN with LAST BOY SCOUT stylistically) who then begat all manner of all-style-no-substance shit, such as Rupert fucking Wainwright (so much is wrong with the way STIGMATA looks, I have no idea where to begin) and Len Wiseman (fuck off! Just FUCK OFF!!!). The madness in the Scott bgeatting ends with Scott begatting Scott, who ends up ripping himself off in DOMINO and disappearing up his own arse. Shame really, because the mistake people make with Tony Scott is thinking that HE is all style no substance, when in fact he's very fucking good with substance. See LAST BOY SCOUT, REVENGE, TRUE ROMANCE, CRIMSON TIDE, and even TOP GUN (hey, he took a magazine commercial and made you give a shit about the pilots - thats sort of substance!).

My point is, Scott is a genius in his own right, and no amount of Bay ripping him off (though to be fair, I am a major Bay fan and would defend his entertaining brainless explosions genre to the hilt) will alter that.

This sounds like WE3, by the way. And I have noticed that I'm not the first to notice this.

He's gonna put a spell on these fuckos. They'll wake up with their testicles inside out, a rat inside their skull gnawing at their brains and a raging case of herpes.

Don't fuck with the mad Scotsman. And try reading the Filth if you REALLY want to go to bed confused as fuck.

WE3 should DEFINITELY be Peter Jackson's next movie. It IS that important. You called it, my friend. That graphic novel had me crying like a bitch.

I'm going to wait and see on this one. I dont think there is enough information to really say one way or another. And by the way, I love Star Trek, The Motion picture. I know, I know, it moves at a snails pace at times, etc., but it also brought a sense of the "legendary" to Star Trek that I think helped all the following films and reflected back well on the tv series. And Armageddon? Well that's the biggest music video I've ever seen. Con Air? a fun popcorn flick that I wouldn't take that seriously. The Rock? decent enough film. Pear Harbor? I was surprised by that. I thought it was going to be shit, but I think it was actually decent enough. I think it comes off as more of a tribute towards the people who actually went through those times than as a piece of entertainment for the rest of us, but that's ok. Those who fought WWII have my deepest admiration. They deserve far more than they have gotten in film so far, especially the Pacific theater. Pacific Theater recommendations? OBJECTIVE BURMA, BACK TO BATAAN, AN AMERICAN GUERRILLA IN THE PHILIPPINES, NO MAN IS AN ISLAND, HELL IN THE PACIFIC, TO LATE THE HERO, FAREWELL TO THE KING, PRISONERS OF THE SUN, THE THIN RED LINE (with some reservations for accuracy), PEAR HARBOR, WINDTALKERS, and THE GREAT RAID. That may seem like a lot to seem people, but compared to the numerous films on the European theater, that aint all that much. And some subjects have barely been touched on. I'm looking very forward to THE PACIFIC, the sequel mini series to the awesome BAND OF BROTHERS that they are now working on. Not sure why I just typed all this here. I guess I'm bored. Later.
