I'm speaking purely objectively here and, fine, it's just my opinion. SEX AND THE CITY was not funny, sexy, insightful or even dramatic. I found it boring and mean-spirited. Just because it was a show aimed at women didn't make it any good. Even BATTLESTAR GALACTICA is sexier and has more interesting things to say about how women relate to men and to other women. On another note, RICKEY HENDERSON, if that is true what you report about Tony Almeida, that is great news! The second biggest mistake 24's producers ever made was to kill him off the way they did. (The biggest mistake was how the killed off David Palmer.) If anything can get 24 back on its feet, it's the return of TONY ALMEIDA!!!!!!!

Icon, honestly, the zone scares the hell outta me. I was banished there along with some other guys and even a girl (okay make it four then but she's not a regular any more so we're back to three again) about nine months ago and spent about two days there and ran away alone, afraid and swore never to return. since then I've tried not to provoke mori as he was the one who sent us all there. seems the girl was writing porn and the guys were going crazy for it. I thought it was all pretty silly, but entertaining. beyond that, it really doesn't make any difference to me if there's four, five or even nine girls on the site. I just wanted to give harry & merry a hard time. especially since mori can't banish me to the zone for that! at least not yet! finally, every show has a following be it sitc, three's company or falcon crest. it's open for debate if any show has something to contribute to the general public good of course. as for me, I'm waiting for the history channel engineering an empire movie focusing on hollywood movie rumor websites run by red heads in austin.

Never watched a single ep in it's original run and I've seen it for a few minutes here and there in syndication and that's it. It's insufferable. Annoying. And worse. The only things that make it slightly watchable in tiny bits might be Kristen Davis, who's cute and Kim Cattrall, who of course was probably hottest decades ago in "Big Trouble in Little China." And before some says "your cranky and your old" (original comeback), I'm younger than Chris Noth. Based on all the talkback stuff above so far, men (straight men and maybe even gay men, too) don't give a crap about the show or the movie. Damn right we're not the target demo. Glad my wife doesn't care either because there no way I'd be dragged to see that waste-of-my-time.

tired actors wanting to make a quick buck. I did find SITC watchable when it was on but also can acknowledge that it was pretty mediocre in general. I also hated most of the characters, Samantha was bearable because she was funny. Nothing about the material had 'movie potential'...SITC was fine on tv but as a feature? Yuck. I have my girly tendencies, I love high fashion, but what I'm excited about seeing when it comes to movies right now is something like American Gangster or 3:10 to Yuma...and can't wait for Sweeney Todd. As for this sites 'female demographic' IMO if you're the kind of girl who comes here you're not really that drawn by what the mainstream has to offer. I like to come here to read about movies I might never hear of otherwise, and get caught up in the excitement for big movies with cult appeal. As a side note no one writes decent movies aimed for women IMO, it's all light-weight chick flick crap. Don't get me wrong, I do like romantic stuff but apart from some of the better literary adaptations what's being churned out by hollywood for women right now looks shit. Take for example 'PS I love you' the trailer of which makes me want to gouge my eyes out. Cate Blanchett in the new Elizabeth movie looks like at least a decent female role to watch out for.

and could not care less. The coolest thing in that picture to me is the dog, and not the one in the white-and-green dress. This movie might be a hit, but not a huge one, because chicks alone don't spend that much on movies, and I can't see a lot of guys willing to tag along for a date night with this crap, not if Sarah Jessica doesn't appear nude supine akimbo and with a brown paper bag over her head.
