They only hinted at the real reason for their relationship problem. Danielle borrowed money from Dick at some point, and when he insisted on her paying it back, she didn't like the way he insisted, so stopped talking to him. If there's more to it than that, I'd like to know because it seems pretty shallow to me. Almost as bad as Jessica hating Carol because Carol owed her $5 in college and never paid it back. I give it to Dick for strategy. He played with more balls than anyone ever tried, even the evil doctor wouldn't go as far as Dick in pissing people off and burning every bridge behind him and still making it to the end.

I love that they did this. I've never subscribed to the realplayer feeds (because I hate realplayer and all it represents) but when I heard it was going to be on sho2 I added it to my satalite package. My wife and I watch it in the background as we do computer stuff. What I didn't like were the constant commercials showing last season's people doing outrageous and often sexual things, promising that everything would be uncut and raw, and then to see the same old bullshit censorship constantly. Showtime should continue this next season, but should pressure BB to cut the censoring bullshit.

I never seen OZ, so seeing the first few eps are on HBO on Demand I decided to start watching that instead of watching Sundays show, which I knew was going to be sort of the look back thing... But I do have it on DVR. Is it worth watching? I watched the first few minutes and did see that they also show what happened after Shrek's eviction... Dick and Daniele in the house, etc.. So that would be something I would like to see. I don't want to see a damn recap though. I hate when shows do that, unless its 100% new stuff they didn't previously show, which I don't think this was... I think it was the stuff they already showed just now in clips as a best of, am I right. Should I watch Sundays ep before tonights?

Sunday's show was worth watching, but mostly only if you're a fan of the Donatos. The whole ep came off pretty much like the ending of an episode of Scooby-Doo, actually. 'Remember when this happened?' 'Oh yeah, that was great!' That kind of thing. If you're a fan of either Dick or Daniele, it's well worth watching. Best recrap show I've ever seen, and believe me, I've seen a lot.

It was a complete waste of time. First of all, this was the most careful group of people ever put in the house. In previous seasons, people didn't change clothes by putting clothes on over other clothes all the time. Second, I don't think they should have been told they were going to be on Showtime or when. It really broke up the "reality" of the show for them to always know "Oh, it's time for us to be on Showtime." They seemed extra cautious with their behavior when they knew the Showtime feeds were on. Third, like someone else already mentioned, all those commercials promising to show you "what we can't show you on network television" were just ludicrous. I never saw anything on the Showtime feeds, other than language, that couldn't have been on CBS. Maybe a compilation of the wildest stuff in the last 24 hours? Maybe not have the After Dark show on every damn day? I dunno. Maybe they should just recruit some of the nudity-friendly kids from Real World next year.

It was nice for the first 20 minutes every so often... but other then that? If there was nothing at all to watch and I happened to be home by midnight on a Friday I would put it on for a bit... but maybe saw it 3 times, and the longest for 40 minutes. The worse was the when there were the 4 left... I'm watching it for a few minutes... AND IT JUST KEPT SWITCHING BETWEEN DANIELE AND JAMIKA STARING INTO SPACE! Daniele in the kitchen, Jamika in the pool... It was too much of nothing. 3 hours was WAAAAAAAAAAAY too long. Should be an hour or two, and not of whats going on that second, but what happened throughout the day, and just the stuff they can only show on showtime... The guy hit it right on the head, when I saw Jessica putting on a shirt to change into another shirt... I was like wah?!!?!

I understand what you're saying, Herc, but Eric doesn't have a choice in who he votes for. The rules state that Eric has to vote the way we tell him to or he doesn't get the money (any of it). That is his incentive. There were optional tasks (giving that stuffed dog to Jessica, etc.), but voting was not an optional task. It's that simple, so CBS won't even give him the option to vote on his own.

Not a big fan of the Donatos, but they totally deserve the win here. The problem this year was not their behavior--every season needs a good villian, and Evel Dick certainly filled that role (and then some). The problem was that there was no one to root for. While the Donatos outplayed everyone, that's not saying much. No one seemed to have much of a strategy, no one seemed to have any previous knowledge of the game, no one seemed to give things much thought other than thinking that they deserved to win because they were a "good person". Eric, the weasel, seemed like the only who might have given the Donatos a challenge, but he was handcuffed by the America's Player fiasco. Dick and Dani will win by default. If there were one other decent player in the house, they'd get smoked because they failed to play the social aspect of the game, and made the jury hate them. Dr. Will or Season 3's Danielle would have had them for breakfast. Enough with the twists already CBS, they've always failed miserably. Go back to having a bunch of strangers in the house. Make them work for things like food and luxuries. Give them tasks to complete. No more gimmicks, and no more anorexic whiners!

By the time the last episodes decided to focus on him, I was REALLY hoping he'd take Dick off his high horse. With these two in the final two, it doesn't even matter which one wins. And Sunday's episode was a waste of time, but I HAVE enjoyed the season.

I have two problems with the way they executed the America's Player twist. For one thing they didn't have very interesting tasks, it would have been nice to have him do some truly insane things, but instead we watched him give a stuffed animal away and imitate Dick. Yawn. My other problem is with America. At first it was cool because we always made Eric look bad ... but then we started to give him easy tasks. We had him kiss Jessica, yet he had already done that (and wanted to do that). It would have been MUCH more interesting to see him plant one on Dick (who was one of the choices). America, you suck!

One thing that made the American Big Brother better than other shows of its kind is that despite what the viewers wanted, the player most adept at "the game" could win based only on what happened in the house. The outside vote (e.g. "America's Vote") thwarted game play that would have advanced a player in any other season, while advancing others who would have been toast in past seasons. AP essentially changed the game from Big Brother to Puppet Master.

The vote thing. I mean besides the idiotic tasks.... the IDEA itself was good if you gave him good tasks... but they should have let him vote what he wanted push for who he wanted. Because honestly this was my first season watch BB, and I loved it... but basically thought that America ran the whole game, not the people in the house. You may say its only one vote.. but its not, because he DEFINITELY convinced people to change votes based on who America told him to get out of house, get nominate, etc. So that aspect really sucked, and if I was Eric I would be pissed. I would be like "ya know what... no, I signed on for Big Brother and I want to win the half a mil... so take this 10grand every 5 things and shove it up your ass". I mean you can say CBS basically took half a mil from him without even giving him a choice... And also a few people said you can't complain about America's vote because shows like Idol and Europe big brother do that... Yea uhhuh but there SUPPOSED to do that. Its SUPPOSED to be based on America's votes... BB supposed to be just about the housemates, and this time it wasn't. But then again, I guess that is really true big brother... only instead of the government it was America telling people what to do. I couldn't help but keep comparing this season to the All-Stars season previously. Specifically, Chill Town. Dr Will and (to a lesser extent) Mike Boogie completely and utterly ran that household. There's several levels of game players. A 0-level player will have no strategy at all; he'll just do whatever he feels like doing on a moment to moment basis. A 1-level player will work toward the next immediate goal. A 2-level player is, quite uniquely, able to sacrifice temporary gains in return for long-term advantages. A good example of this is Will's disdain for getting HoH; he knew that it was poison in the long run despite the temporary power it would give him. There was no one in this household on level two; a few one level one; and way too many on level zero. Instead of keeping the ultimate objective in mind -- a whole heaping wad of cash! -- they played stupidly. They actually took the game personally. They got genuinely insulted when people lied to them. But BB is a liars' game! Duh! It's good game to pretend to act offended when another houseguest lies to you, but to actually shape your strategy around emotional retribution is just silly. Dr Will, again, in Season 7 tested other players to see if they were reliable. Not honest, but reliable: whether they would do his bidding. If they failed this test, he calmly took it into account. He didn't change his gameplay in order to punish the person. For criminy's sake. Dick is the exception to the emotionalism-equals-death rule; he clearly got into very sincere indignation when people lied to him, but he managed to intimidate people into submission. Amber -- who is a very, very, very ugly crier, by the way -- had the exact same self-righteous attitude, but was unable to intimidate anyone. Zero level players are like that. ***************** Rambling point: Chill Town and the Donatos proved just how powerful a duo team can be. This kind of team is brittle -- all it takes is one loss and the team is destroyed, obviously -- but an absolutely unshakeable alliance is a powerful asset. There wasn't any real chance of a member of either duo betraying their partner, and that edge helped them a long way. This kind of alliance is a cheat, in a way, since all four people knew each other from before the game.
