White Noise. By Don DeLillo, not the crap film with Michael Keaton. With monologue digressions in the vein of "Cashback", "Fight Club" or "Name Your Terrence Malick Movie". That would rock. "Fear and Loathing" got made. "Cholera" got made. Show some freshman year lit some love.
John Leguizamo looks like Luis Guzman...

That video reminded me of that ENTOURAGE episode, where they're shooting the film in Columbia. Seriously though, this looks promising. I must read the book.

it was so nice to see my adopted home city of Cartagena being used properly for a movie, not like the crap shite that was romancing the bone years ago... I cannot wait for this movie

Sad, really. Cloverfield talkback gets thousands of posts and one of the highlights of 20th century lit can't even break double digits. Even Uwe Boll movies get more love.

Is James Ellroy's American Underworld trilogy as an HBO series. Hell, the third book can be merely average and I'll watch just to see American Tabloid and The Cold Six Thousand...

all his books MUST be translated to film, that's an order, i don't to whom to, but that's an order...100 years of solitude deserves HBO treatment. one of my fave books of all time, and if you've read it, it's probably one of yours too. catalina sandino moreno gets more gostosa by the day. big up yourself catalina!

I can already hear geeks, including myself, across the world grumble when either this or ATONEMENT beats NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN for Best Picture. Mike Newell is one of the best commercial journeyman alive. DONNIE BRASCO is one of the best mob films ever and his Harry Potter entry was a notch above the rest.

i'm probably as excited to see this book come to life as i was to finally see lord of the rings make it to screen in a proper way. this book is fantastic, and one of my favorites. please please please do it justice! (and i'll second it: 100 years of solitude next, please).
