wooden? I don't think so, i just saw him in hairspray. He's great in everything, I'll watch anything he's done. I look forward to this too. 2d cel animation returns! if only briefly and to be the subject of satire! But hey! I'll take it how i can. The rest of the movie looks like fun I guess.

I am going to see a Disney sponsored preview of this next week and as far as I am aware it is the finished article, will let you know. They are also going to be showing bits of upcoming “attractions” like Flashbacks of a Fool and There Will Be Blood so it should prove interesting…

Marsden needs a starring role

I hope that if somehow they do another Xmen, they find a way to revive Cyclops and give him a role as large as Jackman's, hell, they should make him the central character tryng to bring back Jean while Logan is off on his own film. I think Marsden is underrated as an actor and would be great as a leading man.

Although, I'm a bit concerned that "Falling Slowly" may not qualify for the Oscar, since wasn't it originally written for a Frames album and not specifically for the film?

No, "Falling Slowly" was originally recorded for the Glen Hansard/ Marketa Irglova album "The Swell Season" as were a few other of the tunes from "Once". However, I think the title track (which only plays over the credits stands a pretty good chance of winning. Or "Leave" or "When Your Mind's Made Up" (although I'm not sure if those two were previously recorded for other records. Regardless, "Once" should get the Oscar. What a wonderful movie. Also, I'm marginally interested in this "Enchanted/ NChan'TED/ Encanted/ Whatever" flick...

Not judging I just didn't expect to see that kind of banter on this site. I on the other hand despise musicals, the only musical worth viewing is The Blues Brothers and I don't consider it a musical. The Oscars considered Walk the Line as a musical but they were dead wrong.

I loved how she made the most out of her little part in Talladega Nights. Her freak-out in the bar in that movie was great. And turned me on a bit... Still, she seems like a good choice for a Disney princess. And, Filmfunk, I've been to Disney WORLD recently, and I felt the same way as you. Also, the women they have portraying the various princesses there are generally hot.

As a hater of musicals myself, I strongly recommend "Once". It's a film about musicians, so there are many songs in it (like Walk The Line) but the songs also help illuminate the story, unlike Ray or Walk The Line, or Blues Brothers. Go see it. It's great

I hope this movie burns in hell for that crap that they pulled in the trailer. What in the hell was that stuff with the black bus driver? Why is it when she gets out of the bus every step she makes sounds like a goddamn T-REX, she has a BARELY manicured afro, she ways about 250lbs, and she does the old "oh no you didn't routine". I was so insulted when I saw this trailer in front of Ratatouille. This movie is being marketed and sold to children and that type of stereotypical BULLSHIT is just plain unacceptable. Flame me if you must but you know it's true. SHAME ON YOU DISNEY!

I too had written him off as a colorless prettyboy (well, that's what his Cyclops was in all the X-Men films), but he really was terrific as Corny Collins in "Hairspray" (he's so great in musical comedy I almost thought he was gay, but then I realized I was conflating him with his look-alike John Barrowman). Couple that with what seems to be a very funny role in "Enchanted" and I guess everyone will have to view him differently now. Like, as an accomplished comic actor and singer. Who knew.

If I had a dime for anytime EVERYONE of any particular race perpetuated a stereotype, I'd be a rich man. While you're on you soapbox, why don't you complain about "DEPARTED" portraying the Irish as untrustworthy, drunken brutish criminals?
Wait, she's camp for NOT moving like a cartoon?

I guess that only makes sense if you've seen the movie. I would think the credit for that kind of detail goes to the animators for capturing the live action movements of the actors and not the other way around. Not that I want to take away from the praise Cyclops is finally getting (bring him back as lead in X4 NOW!), but those are strange points. Also, I didn't think the trailer looked really smart, it just looked fun. It looks like someone combined The Swan Princess with the Princess Diaries, which means it'll be cute but hardly "REALLY" good.
Amy Adams lesbian scenes removed from youtube!

There were clips on youtube from a movie called "Standing Still" where Amy Adams has her belly fondled and kissed by a lesbian but now they've all mysteriously been taken down because Disney can't have their Enchanted Princess engaging in such behavior on a big public site like youtube.

That a brief autobiography should precede a film review? Although the 60% of the paragraphs that dealt with the movie in question were informative, to be frank, no one really cares about the circumstances surrounding a visit to the theater.

A very small line describing that it was a preview screening and that the review is of an unfinished movie could possibly be a good aside, maybe a brief description of the crowd present (as the people you watch a movie with can sometimes change the experience) but leave out the other movies you've been to, who you went to the movie with, why you decided to go to the movie, what you had for breakfast the morning before the movie, and on and on an on, skip over that shit and just get to the part about whether or not we should drop any money to watch the film in question.

Maybe I am wrong, maybe people love the little slices of life that often come with reviews here at AICN, but something tells me that's not the case.

Just pointing out a minor spelling error + it is a very interesting review which had its title purposely misspelt as 'Enchated' to turn people off reading it. Maybe next time you would judge this film as 'PLANT' just because someone liked it. Fuckers.
