You've got a guy like Glen Morgan who's written X Files and Millennium... two of TV's best... and the guy walks...??? How do you let talent like that just walk away? Something tells me this show won't make it out of it's first season, much like Surface didn't. Ah well...

When a show is bad or mediocre, that usually means it'll be on the air for at least 6, 7 seasons. Geez, don't you know anything about TV?

This new Jaimie is hot but her life is a mess. 13 year old boys won't care about her sister (why does she have a sister now?)and the crap she has to go through and the "you changed me without my permission angle is bullshit. First she'd be happy to be alive and who the fuck wouldn't want to be "Bionic"? Dry cleaner can't find your pants? Put him through a wall. Who wouldn't want to do that?

So lame. So lame. Sackoff would have made a much more compelling Bionic Woman. The woman playing Summers is flat (but yes, very hot...and has a convincing American accent...but c'mon, are there no worthy American actresses out there?), the dialog is dead and the tone of the whole show is just dull...they could have really done something special but instead made it 'edgy' and 'dark' which in the wrong hands means 'pointless' and 'waste'.
I liked the pilot.

Especially evil Starbuck. I think the show has promise. Not a great pilot but not near as bad as some people seem to think. (ok i will give you the running in the woods scene - FUCKING pathetic F/X there.) Speaking of Starbuck- any more word on the final season cut in half rumors? Please anyone? New season pilots ratings : #1 Chuck 2. Terminator 3. Reaper 4. Picking Daises 5. BWoman 6. the rest of the lot Im too drunk to remember.

made the show darker and more compelling by showing that her bosses compell her to work for them. The bionics make you powerful, sure, but they also mean that at the flick of a switch, they can shut you down and you're a paraplegic again. So if you don't play ball, they got ya.

Then the season arc can be about how Jaime is trying to get out from under the thumb.

That's been done elsewhere I'm sure.

Morgan was probably like: This show is going to get canceled unless we do some really bold shit.

Then NBC was like: Let's do some stale as fuck episodes where each week Jamie meets someone "in trouble" and helps them. And in the third act each week, she does something with her powers for about 20 seconds.
Morgan: That sounds like the Incredible Hulk with Bill Bixby in the 70s. No viewer will watch that stuff today.
NBC: We're NBC. We suck.
Morgan: Oh. Yeah. Bye!

If anyone has downloaded the pilot for this show and watched it, I have started a new support group to try and get you through the horrifying experience. This 'television' show (and I hesitate to even label it that) was so extraordinarily bad that I found myself reminiscing of 'Highway Man' and hoping to catch another re-run of Quark on Sci-Fi. Ugghh! I just threw-up a little bit in my mouth... This show makes the new Flash Gordon look like Band of Brothers.

It was one of the best "cancelled before it's time" shows of all time. I've been bitching about it's lack of DVD release for years.I even went so far as to email Mark Cuban about possibly airing it on HDNET, but alas, still no way to rewatch this fine season of television.

And that seems to be several of you...the pilot available on the torrent sites is NOT the pilot you'll see when the show debuts on Sept. 26th - several things were reshot, reworked, and they completely removed the deaf sister and replaced her with a hot hacker sister. So be sure to check it out when it comes on - and if you can see it in high-definition vs. your computer monitor, so much the better.

You know, most shows have sucky pilots. That was true with all the Star Trek shows, and of course, the first episode of new Doctor Who ("Rose") also sucked. Thus I will definitely give a shot to Bionic Woman. Michelle Ryan is good, and definitely easy on the eyes. I am baffled why the producers didn't cast another British actress for the role of Jaimie's sister. Jemima Rooper could have easily fit the bill even if she isn't a teen.
Lynxpro, thank you for mentioning Jemima Rooper...

That would be AWESOME to have her as the sister...and leaves open the possibility of her making out with Katee Sackhoff, since she seems to make out with almost every other female co-star she works with.

I have no problem name dropping Jemima Rooper. She's an incredible actress and she deserves more attention here in 'Merica. Hell, I saw *The Black Dahlia* just for her and not for Scarlett Johansen or Harry & Co's lust for Rose McGowan and her little cameo in it. Jemima can do a decent fauxmerican accent, as she did in both *The Black Dahlia* and *A Sound of Thunder* (again, her being the only decent thing of that film). Thus she could have easily portrayed the younger Sommers in this series, although I have no beef with the actress selected in the role...especially if she truly is a deaf actress. Hell, many of us have been hoping for either Michelle Ryan or Jemima Rooper to be cast on *Doctor Who* but neither has happened.
why isn't Miguel Ferrer's character Oscar Goldman?

If there's one thing I want to criticize with this production is the little tidbit that Miguel Ferrer's character isn't Oscar Goldman. Why the frak not? Is that character being saved for a Six Million Dollar Man reboot? "Jonas Bledsoe" just sounds like a lame character name and lacks Goldman's punch.

Mainly Morgan is not God. He fucking remade Black Christmas whose only redeeming value was that the majority of the chicks were incredibly hot. And 2, his return to Final Destination resulted in the dumbest entry with Part 3. Showing photos of the World Trade Center to make the plot of your stupid horror film seem more real is retarded. This show doesn't really have a chance anyway even with the deaf sister being gone now. Its up against Criminal Minds and Private Practice, and it really should be on after Heroes.

... and replaced her with a hot hacker sister." NO NO NO NO. I bet she can upload a virus into the alien ship with her macbook. The show is going to suck. They should have focussed it on Starbuck's character. She completely embraces the idea of being bionic, and is chaotic evil. Generally being a real bitch and fucking people over - however willing to do what is right by her own sense of twisted morals.

What the hell? Did they feel that deaf female characters on television are overrepresented now that CBS saved *Jericho* from the chopping block? That is a totally lame decision. But hey, that's NBC Universal for you...trying to get Apple to charge $4.99 per NBC tv episode sold on iTunes and exclusively and stubbornly backing HD DVD to boot. The girl playing the Bionic Woman (Michelle Ryan) was shit in Eastenders. EASTENDERS for fuck's sake. A British soap opera that's a showcase for people who can't act so why the hell they cast her in a big budget Sci Fi series is anyone's guess.
