Pushing Daisies

Kinda odd they are holding Pushing Daisies until Oct. 3rd when Private Practice and Life both air the week before. Maybe ABC is hoping to promote the heck out of it during the previous week or something. I'm seeing ads all over Philadelphia... and they really don't suck!

Yeah, I'm surprise that ABC went all out with the ads for Pushing Daisy. And luckily it isn't on the curse billboard here in Philly. Every show that was posted there was canceled in a two weeks tops. What is there? DirtySexyMoney

Those are the new shows I'm looking forward to. This should be a pretty cool TV season. And just for the record: Kid Nation will be the downfall of America.

...plus Always Sunny, Journeyman, SVU, Prison Break, Supernatural, Pushing Daisies, Scrubs, and 30 Rock. And very, very tentatively, Bionic Woman, but I don't know how worth it it is to watch that, given the reviews I've seen thus far. I find it a little strange that that's all I'm watching out of all the shows up there.

I'm guessing the reason to hold it back was so they'd get a chance to promote it on Dancing with the Stars. That's what I'd do, anyway. And any effort to promote a Brian Fuller series is alright by me.

***New episodes are on USA, not on NBC. I do believe the above posting is in error in regards to this.*** I thought the first run episodes were to air on USA, and the network would run a rerun of it for prime-time? I might be wrong, but I think that's what they're doing... so if anything it might be the NBC premiere date (USA would air the episode some time sooner, I imagine).

Where is the love for Reaper? The show looks absolutely hysterical. I cannot wait for it!! I'm also looking forward to Chuck, Pushing Daisies, Private Practice, Bionic Woman, Sarah Connor Chronicles, Journeyman and I've heard Dirty, Sexy, Money is supposed to be fairly decent. Of course I have all my regular shows as well, Heroes, Survivor, Grey's Anatomy and Prison Break. I can't wait until next year when we get 24, Lost and Battlestar Galactica!!! It should be another full year of shows on my DVR. If you all don't have DVR's then I really pitty you. It's one of the great inventions in the last 10 years!!!

Yep, and that's saying something with the reality crapola bar set lower and lower. The people who put this together should be prosecuted, along with the parents of these kids for child abuse, if even a nugget of what I'm reading is actually true.

hmm so this is airing in america? color me surprised, it started here in canada already and its such a canadian show, it shows in every aspect, most obvious being that they dont hide the fact its Toronto. before watching, i thought this was an american series so i was surprised myself but yeah its decent and all but i dont see it lasting on american airwaves. it'll do like Forever Knight probably, have its first season (or whatever is aired before its pulled) play on american tv and then no matter how long it lasts, the rest will be canadian exclusive or least very hard to find. course apparently Lifetime is playing it so maybe they desperately need a hit. lol either way, the show isnt terrible but it just screams canada and even as a canadian, i think thats a bad thing.

Anybody know where I can find a preview clip for Brotherhood season 2? I know there's one out there somewhere. It already aired its first season on Lifetime, and it was a moderate hit, so they brought it back for a second. To me, it hit many of the same beats as Dresden Files, which was a much more interesting show, though BT's take on vampire mythology and morality is interesting. But it's really more of a summer show. I can't imagine it doing very well in a packed fall season.

Unless you're Lost or Heroes or Buffy. Genre bending is a good thing if you're a good show to begin with. To me, Chuck feels like Jake 2.0 (maybe a Jake 3.0). Which is funny, because Jake 2.0 was already a riff on the 6Mil. Man, which they acknowledged when they had Lee Majors guest star.

That's what Apple said NBC wanted to sell its shows on ITunes for. When they didn't get that, NBC pulled out of their deal. No matter that the other four commercial nets and about 50 other cable networks see no problem with the 1.99 price tag. This from the network that really wants to devote an entire night of TV to illiterate, uh, excuse me, reality programming this fall?

I gave up on the series when "The Office" began conflicting with the venerable reality show. Schrute-isms far outweigh out-of-work actors/actresses - all with washboard abs - competing for $1 million yet again. Put some real people back on Survivor and I might be hooked again. In the meantime, it's like watching "Real World:BEACH" on repeat, season after season after season. And we all know what a god-awful mess MTV turned that reality show into after abandoning its original concept in favor of drunk teens sans birth control. Oy.

Damn, I guess there's a lot I'll be watching this season, I wasn't expecting that last season. I may give Journeyman a shot, but something tells me that won't take. I'll give Chuck another chance, even though I was less than impressed with the pilot (Jake 2.0 was actually a little better). Bionic Women has potential, hard to tell from the pilot. Brotherhood and Dexter are driving me crazy cause the first two eps of their season 2 have been out on the net for weeks now, but I don't want to have to deal with a self imposed season hiatus, waiting for episodes 3, so I've been patient. I guess the big three for me on this list are Heroes, Dexter and Pushing Daisies. And who knows, I never rule out South Park making a comeback.

for having Starbuck as the other Bionic, not to mention that psychiatric nurse chick from Jekyll, in the lead if I heard right. How I met Your Mother is about the best sitcom running in American television. Definitely for that. Loved Heroes last season, and with Kristen Bell guesting I'm even more psyched. Torchwood looks seriously cool and I love the new Doctor Who series so I'm there too. Brotherhood and Dexter were awsome last season. Pushingup Daisies makes the list. Loved Dead Like Me and this looks like it's in a similar vein. Journeyman looks interesting, loved that guys work in Rome. Anyone think Hans and Frans from SNL when the name Journeyman or is it just me.
