I can just see cheesy montages with shitty music playin in the background. I hope I'm wrong. Prison Break is a good lead-in for this show so it has a chance. BTW...Prison Break is gonna fuckin rock this season. They got Bunny Colvin from the Wire. And Bellick in a diaper. I'm all for it.

This will dissapear after the World Series. While New Orleans & the Katrina aftermath are being addressed in various forms of media as a plot points for charecters motives (much like 9/11)it's still too raw an issue for most to have a whole series about it.

this is coming on FOX. FOX News was a huge proponent of the idea that Katrina was a freak accident, and our president and FEMA did all possible to help the situation. I"m highly skeptical of helping advertisers and that network make money off of a tragedy that wouldn't have been so severe if that network didn't serve as anything more than a stenographer to power for this administration.

1."...Fox drama..." - Fox dramas seem to be cancelled quickly if they don't put up AI numbers. This better be huge out of the gate or will be gone by Thanksgiving (or worse, the Canadian Thanksgiving).

2. "...from writer-producer Jonathan Lisco (“The District,” “Jack & Bobby”..." - Did either of those shows make it through a full season?

it's only available to folks in the US right now. it'll be on bittorrents soon enough, i just want to know if it's worth my valuable time. i like the cast, but i said it a few months ago, that i think this show is going to be a shameless tug on the ol' heartstrings. FOX is notorious for cashing in on human emotions, and the Katrina thing is only natural. Does the pilot feature any montages of the two cops driving around New Orleans looking at homeless people and abandoned houses? because when i first heard about this show, i was like "there's going to be a montage showing how awful life there is now, and probably a scene at the end of the show, likely in a bar, involving the two cops discussing how much the city has changed and how tough living there is, and how they need to make a difference." how right am i?

...is trying to squeeze out all the mileage he can get playing the incalculable, creepy bad guy...

the pilot has decent production values and some good acting (Anthony Anderson in particular); but the story was about as intricate as an episode of The A-Team.

K-Ville has potential if the producers get better writers to gritty the mutha-fucka up a bit, if not, it's going to wind-up being just another pedestrian buddycop show.

It will be called Findlay,OH. It will star that hot chick from Standoff, as a stripper mom who becomes a cop to stop looters from destroying the feed store after heavy rain and floodwater ravage the town. It only took two years after Katrina, for FOX to get K-ville going, so come on Fox lets get current!!!!

People love drama. Drama means conflict. Conflict is good versus bad. Who fights evil everyday more than the police. Except doctors who battle those evil, evil diseases. So its cops then..now whats the hook we hang it on? Let's make it timely, topical...Hey, I saw this Spike Lee movie the other day that was really good...

I was born and raised in New Orleans and I didn't think that the show was that bad... Not Great mind you, but better than most other attempts by fox lately. My biggest beef with most NO films and shows is the accents. We're not fucking cajun here in New Orleans. Also one other plus for K-Ville is that there was not a single mention of Mardi Gras. And that my friends fucking rocks. I agree that they do need some work with scripting but the show's atmosphere and attitude is dead on with how things are down here. Tugging at heartstrings possibly but in the real K-Ville we need it.

1) You obviously didn't see "When the Levees Broke." Spike lets one former 9th ward resident say they thought they heard a bomb go off. Then he puts two or three scientists and researchers immediately afterward to explain that a bomb did not go off, but it could've sounded similar when the floodwalls collapsed. You stupid trollbag. 2) http://www.snopes.com/katrina/ photos/buses.asp as far as the school bus picture goes. 3) If you really want to understand Katrina, and the fact that the Army Corps of Engineers has admitted responsibility for the lion's share of the flooding after the storm, you should actually pick up a book, or any legitimate news source or paper. You know, the things with words.

No not a great show, but good work by the two leads. Kinda hokey that the new straight laced partner is "an ex bad guy", but Some of the atmosphere felt pretty authentic. And I didn't know Anthony Anderson could actually act. If this wer 10-15 years ago, I'd say this was a solid looking show. but nowadays, at least for me, I'm not the couch potato I used to be, plus there are so many damn shows on now all trying to wave the shiny in front of people's faces. I have a feeling this one'll get lost somewhere between better scripted shows and shiny reality crap like American Idol and whatnot. Right now I'm more excited that Real Time is back on starting tonight.

Of COURSE there were no bombs. The only thing more stupid than Ray Nagin is a city who would RE-ELECT that moron to another term as their mayor. Kinda like re-electing Nero after Rome Burned. Let's all get a grip, people.

Fuck you Wings haters. Wings was the Hoffs brother on Young and the Restless. One day he went sailing and never returned.

Firebase Gloria is one of the best Nam films ever made. Wings humped that war load almost as well as Tom Berringer did.

Plus he fucking wrote the classic Beastmaster 2!

two minutes in, and i'm laughing. this show already sucks. AOL has the show up, and they don't seem to give a fuck who watches it, as i'm canadian. and as a sidenote, anthony anderson has a very fat face, but in the preview when he's wearing a leather coat, he looks less fat. just struck me as weird.
awful show. truly awful.

there are at least six "jesus christ" moments in that pilot that will make you wonder if everyone involved with the production is a total retard. there are a few "chase scenes" where the two cops just fire their guns wildly in the middle of the street. the case they're working is ridiculous... i'd go into more details but no one's reading this talkback anyway. just AVOID AT ALL COSTS. k-ville's a stinker.
Anthony Anderson needs a new agent

He can be really good in stuff (awesome in THE SHIELD), but all too often plays "shrieking fat comic sidekick" in some woeful productions. Give the man an agent, and get him some quality work.
