This looks sweet... imagine what the real film could look like.

Anyways, I would rather see a Half-Life movie than a halo movie. I found it more interesting to have a scientist trying to survive the consequences of his own experiments than a super soldier fighting aliens. It has been done before.

I just don't get the mass appeal of Halo. It's a good FPS, but it's not like the "story" is anything special. It's certainly not very deep.

As a Halo nerd and a movie nerd I have to say I've found these little glimpses as to what Neill Blomkamp's movie version would [...] look like.

I was thinking, "He forgot the ending!!" but I think you meant that you found these shorts to be little glimpses into his movie version. I read it as you fond these little glimpses to be...to be...??

like if someone is eating raspberries, and they say, "I find these raspberries..." everyone will be waiting for them to finish the sentence. but then they say, "No, I mean, I find these to be raspberries, that's what they are."

so my question is, was it just awkward wording? or did you forget to finish the sentence?

indulge me here, I'm a former writing teacher and these interesting little morsels tickle me. I don't read comic books, never played Halo. I'm a writing nerd.

I...I seriously don't know where to begin. The Covenant?! A coalition of alien races with a single religion that involves the destruction of entire words with 'halo'-shaped spacecraft? The Spartans. A group of cyborg soldiers that are, correct me if I'm wrong, 10 feet tall? And then there is the icing on the cake...the Elite. Fricken' honor driven warriors that are the protectors and chief Guard of the Prophets. And now, they are on the HUMAN's side...

Then you can go on the Halo 3's story. The Covenant have found something buried under the Earth's surface. Something that, unless you haven't seen the trailers and live under a rock, you know is Covenant in origin.

Now, please God, don't go off onto a tangent during which I hear much swearing and 'ITS JUST A COMPILATION OF A BUNCH OF IDEAS DONE ELSEWHERE'...first of all...I would love you ANYONE to give me details into that line of thought. Sure, it's cheesed at parts. It's got bits borrowed from Aliens, namely the marines.

But, hell, don't try to tell me the story doesn't go anywhere interesting. If you liked the story for Aliens, then you'd be insane if you didn't like this one. I like it better.
