...he's not directing that 'The Only Living Boy in New York' script after all? He's making a Christmas comedy starring Vince Vaughn and a Hollywood remake of his own documentary instead? This sounds like Mark Waters's career trajectory all over again.

...better get a cinema release in England otherwise I'll be pretty pissed. If not, I suppose there's always a DVD release to wait for.

well nothing. There aren't really words to describe the lifeless lack of talent that he has. I really hope he stretches this time and plays a grumpy sarcastic guy.

"They're each a child of divorced parents, so they have to try to make each Christmas celebration in one day." does this make any sense to anyone??

Vince Vaughn as the jerky boyfriend in romantic dramadies I guess you could say, like the Breakup and like this one potentially sounds? let me guess, VV is going to make some snide comments about Resse's parents and step parents and Rese is going to cry and then his dad, played by Alan Alda is going to sit down with him and explain to him why being a jerk isn't a good idea and how he will lose Reese. And they'll be at lease on scene in a snow storm
Wasn't this an episode of "Will & Grace?"

Wasn't there a 2-part Thanksgiving themed episode of "Will & Grace" that did exactly the same thing? Will, Grace, Jack & Karen went to visit their respective families for multiple Thanksgiving dinners and sit-com wackiness ensues. Yeah, this'll be a box-office bonanza . . .

Isn't this from the guy who wrote the "How to Write Screenplays" book Save the Cat? He refers to it in tone of the chapters.

Ben Stiller as Billy Mitchell. Ben can play him like Tony Perkis from Heavyweights or the villian from Dodgeball.

boring. Especially if they add dramatic moments where the characters mourn growing up with divorced parents...like that's really an uncommon tragedy these days. And any right-thinking person would just see each parent on a day around that time because it's still the Christmas season and you can just pretend it's the 25th, no need to run around breaking your neck.

That gigantic man is going to crush that little girl in the inevitable bedroom scene. They should get more proportionate actors - say Witherspoon and Owen Wilson or Ben Stiller, or Vaughn and Charlize Theron or Mandy Moore.
