But at least you acknowledge it. They should do a staged interview/promo video, ala Superbad, where Kristen Bell gets pissed at you and loses her shit and kicks you in the nuts.

...how Bell's role will be a roast of her career so far. I might be drunk, but I do see how the role would be a wry commentary on the state of the modern actress. Great set visit report and good to hear that you got to take the fam on a little vacation.

Love him or hate him, Russell is turning out to be a good actor. Think he will explode in the US after this. Apparently it's been all down to his friendship with Courtney Love and her connections.

I bet he's just his usual self, but I think he's hilariously mental (don't do drugs kids). I still don't get what the ladies see in his Victorian Pimp stylings.

Glad to see Jason Segel has got the lead, do you think some of his script is related to his split with Linda Cardellini??

Opinion on him tends to fall into one of two camps: a) he's an unsufferable cunt who should be taken to Miller's Crossing and shot there in the woods like a dumb animal or b) that he is both comedy gold and the sexiest thing to happen in popular culture since [insert your personal preference here]. There is also an a + b option available for those who prefer it, as a little of him goes a long way, what with his cheeky innuendos, his fake-embarrassed sexual bragging and tales of drug-related excess. However, jealousy will get me nowhere in life...

Saw him at the Edinburgh festival. Witty, insightful and dark humour with a but of satire thrown in for good measure. I've not seen his chat show or his other presenter work but I can imagine he's gone a bit too celebrity for my tastes.

He's hugely overexposed in the UK, appearing on a variety of shows that don't really do that well (they can't find a good vehicle for his talent, really). Maybe comedy acting is a good idea, I hope he's good. He's very quick-witted and can be hilarious at times. You should download his weekly BBC Radio 2 podcast... not sure what Americans are going to make of him. He's a sort of eccentric, dandy, Victorian, ex-junkie, rock n' roll Willy Wonka with bouffant hair and uncontrollable sex drive!

You skirted the edge of acceptable daddyhood material, but I'm thrilled you are experiencing the joys of fatherhood, and that you can take your family along on working vacations. Just remember not to watch too many movies. Two hours with the boy is better than any two hours facing a screen.

he had a show well before Big Brother hired him. BB was the beginning of his over exposure, before that his stand-up was hilarious. Haven't seen much of his work since then so couldn't comment on him now but this film sounds like a step in the right direction.

There's two camps, blokes that hate him cos he's a bit leftfield, and girls that love him because he's a bit leftfield. My opinion, he's one of those people who got famous from being in the right places at the right time (kudos to his PR team). His major plus is that he's very quick-witted and I think a script won't do him justice.

And if Russell Brand gets to punch her kitty in real life, then I will never forgive him for pissing me off and making me cringe whilst watching his shitty 'vehicles' on telly over the last 2 years.

He did used to be quite funny, back when nobody really knew him at the Edinburgh festival 3/4 years ago. Now you just KNOW he thinks he's funny and really grinds my gears

He is so, so talented and hilarious, and hopefully this film will give the underappreciated How I Met Your Mother a boost. So glad that Hader assumedly has a large role in this, as he's the brother. And Kristen Bell is ridiculously cute. I caught her on Craig Ferguson the other night, and I can barely focus when she is on. Interestingly enough, the Lost rumor got brought up, and she said she'd LOVE to relocate to Hawaii, so I don't know what's going on with that Ausiello story.

"How I Met Your Mother" is okay, solely because of him and Doogie. The characters the show is supposed to be about are very dull. I think they realized that early on because they quickly made it more of an ensemble like "Friends" so you see a lot more of those guys.
Intriguing possibility why Bell turned down 'Lost'...

Because she might be headed to Broadway in February for the musical version of 'Legally Blonde'. (!!) That's what TVG's Ausiello updated his original story earlier today. It's the same URL as when I posted it the first time.

Watch it from the beginning. It has wonderful continuity and callbacks, and even the sentimental episodes seem genuine and not groan inducing. Behind The Office, I think it's the funniest comedy on NETWORK TV right now, and the entire cast are grat actors in my opinion. It comes off as a "Friends" show, but it's much funnier. This is just my opinion, and I can understand people's reticence towards it, but I am loving the hell out of it so far.

Moriarty, I liked what you said in your Rush Hour 3 review, so I know you're a smart guy. Crime Scene: Scene of a Crime. “Hey, Jason... instead of ‘ohhhmmm,’ try saying ‘yum.’” The guy kicks his ex in the face while trying to do yoga. Another empty-headed RomCom in the tradition of comic luminary Ben Stiller, but keep the costs low by hiring TV actors and Paul Rudd.
