Business really has to pick up this season, especially with Rosenbaum leaving. Lana also has to go - it's getting too tiring hating her all the time! Not sure I like Supergirl being in this, seems pretty stupid. Wonder what "other leaguers" we're gonna see - Guy Gardner maybe? lol

Any news on Chloe? They tried to blow her up once, and it didn't take, so I'm hopeful that she wasn't absorbed entirely by Lois in that inexplicable use of KryptoPowers.

First attributed to Sean Conery during an Actor's Studio interview many years ago. It's became something of a cliche now-a-days.

For the most part, the characters, the relationships, the major arcs, the self-contained episodes sort of went no where and the stories were none too exciting to begin with (for a super hero/action show). So you basically had a series that was pretty boring and just became boring and stale. A good story has to go somewhere and the characters have to grow and reveal more dimensions of their lives etc. Smallvile is like a book with the same chapter repeating endlessly. 6 years is a long time for nothing to happen. The most frustrating part though is there was always so much potential for the show to be great and maybe 2 episodes a season you'd see glimpses of what they could do if they tried. I hope this year is going to be different.

How to do Batman on Smallville...

...introduce a rich character roughly Clark's age, real serious type, drop hints that he's in town from Gotham City and has business with Lex, never use the name Bruce Wayne (although you could probably get away with having him call his chauffer "Alfred" once). After he covertly helps Clark fight off a Luthor plot, etc., maybe he loses a cufflink or something....Chloe finds it, the initials are "BW." True fanboys are in on it from the start due to hype on the net (like they wouldn't pick up on it after the Gotham hint anyway) and know full well it's Bats, but WB TV doesn't have to step on WB Film's toes this way. Boo-yah...everyone's happy.

that bizarro line and the bizarro face were already in the last scene of the season finale. My big question is will they do the right thing and have a kick ass final year before they pull the plug, or will they drag the show on way past its prime?

Any body else think it waters down the mythology by saying that ANOTHER baby was sent to Earth the same way? There's enough extra Kryptonians showing up throughout the franchise that Clark being the last son of Krypton really doesn't hold up any more. That's okay, some of the best added characters are Kryptonians (Zod is always great). But really, lets save the ship with baby to Earth thing for Clark alone.

He can fly... (and Bruce Wayne)

...can't he? I thought he is already physically capable, but its just that he lacks the mental command over the ability. In the very first season he woke up one morning levitating, and since then he has flown (or they have hinted he has flown) multiple times. And I don't really see the big deal about bringing in Bruce Wayne. Smallville isn't a big enough hit with the general public to create confusion. Most of the viewers are perfectly capable of understanding that Smallville is a separate version and incarnation of the Superman/DC world, and has nothing whatsoever to do with the new Batman movies, or the new Superman movies, or anything else for that matter. Its a separate vision.

Admittedly, I am a Marvel fan more than DC however I am a regular reader/watcher of the big 2 [so to speak] (Batman/Superman) in various forms of media. That all said, when is DC gonna get it????? If not for Chris Nolan's brilliance (aka Batman Begins), Marvel's productions would have not only generated BILLIONS of dollars more than DC but humiliated them in the process creatively. And do you want to know why? Marvel allows their media partners to take chances with characters and stories. Sure they don't always work: ( see Elektra ) and certain fan segments may oppose a few of the casting choices and the like ( see Absorbing Man, Kingpin..) but risks are taken and MARVEL generally speaking provides SUPPORT for ideas, not obstacles. Aside from having the best ratings in the history of the show, creating a "Heroes" type buzz in the media, and making existing fans of Smallville ecstatic, why again won't DC allow Batman on the show????? Wake up DC/WB !!!!!!!!!!!

If you own an Xbox 360, just go to Xbox Live and you'll find this and all the other Warner Bros. Comic-Con panels sitting there as free downloads. All the film/tv clips are edited out, but the in-person stuff is all there in its entirety. The smaller room panels are single-camera, but the Hall H stuff is multi-angle because it's the same signal that they sent to the big screens. You even see the weird costumed folks asking the questions. Specifically, you can grab the full panels for "300," "Blade Runner," "Babylon 5," Warner Bros. 80-minute panel (with "Get Smart," "One Missed Call," "Whiteout" and "Watchmen"), "Chuck," "Pushing Daisies," "Supernatural," "Sarah Connor Chronicles," "Superman: Doomsday," and "Smallville." No, I'm not a plant, as I seem to be accused of being every time I post something, I'm just a genre fan who saw this on there and wondered why this site hasn't reported it yet.
Batman would make confusion?

I really don't get it. Why would a Batman film series going on make Bruce Wayne's appearance unacceptable? Smallville is going at the same time at Superman Returns, and they obviously don't happen in the same little universe. These executives have some silly ideas.
You know how they should end the show....

Have Clark in suit and tie..with glasses...he hears someone in need of help....pops open the shirt...we see the S Shield....gets past the "No Flight" rule plus it would satisfy me......
