Hopefully CBS lost millions trying to milk some ratings from the popularity of the latest Pirates of the Carribean movie.
They deserved it

The studios, networks, everyone standing to profit from that show deserved to fail. Why? I know from can't-disclose-my-sources-behi nd-the-scenes that they had a much better cast available, and much better writers and ideas possible, but turned their backs on all that quality in order to focus on the standard blonde-bimbo-types and "proven success formulas" of "reality" shows. A pirate reality show COULD have been really cool. But they played it safe and paid the price. Maybe, just maybe, there's a lesson to be learned here? I mean, shit, the very movies they were trying to ride off (Disney's Pirates) broke every "play it safe" rule in the book and were monumental successes, so shouldn't a show trying to do the same um, do the same? Yeah, like executives and businessmen will EVER learn.

i watch this show, and i will still watch it online, but it never went anywhere unique. i mean obviously they did not actually control the ship at all... i never really understood its purpose other than getting some shots of them scrubbing the deck or training on the sails while the real crew hid somewhere. and the chest of "Zanzibar"... lmao that name is cringe worthy. the real kicker was the money didnt get incrementally better... weird. it was like 30k, 40k, 5k, 40k, whatever... the stakes were not raising the tension of the show at all. i think the players kinda got ripped off if they took this over Survivor.

The show found its first big villain(ess) in Jen, the hysterically vain and self-absorbed "Jensa Member" and Kale has proven herself to be quite the lying snake who is now scrambling after her Cougar Alliance voted oppositely from her. And now it looks like Dick the Tommy Lee-ish Douchebag Dad is actually making progress in patching things up with his estranged daughter. Oh, and the Chenbot is as reliably stiff and awkward during post-eviction interviews and HOH challenges as ever. Good times.
I like Dick

and not in THAT WAY. Seriously he's what is making this season fun in the Im not going to fake myself around you way. Even his daughter is fake though you do see signs of her dad in her. JEN NEEDS TO DIE THOUGH. like seriously needs a bullet to the head after every limb is pulled off and shes beaten with them. Then they need to get rid of the valley girl bitch. Both of them should have their uteruses removed as well to prevent their genes from ever spreading to humanity. They just flat out disgust me as humans.
Couldn't even cut it among reruns and summer shows?

CBS.com? Will it only be available in the US?

Fuck that!

It's been ok. It has had good elements, like the Royal Pardon, or using your money to buy votes, or the teams on the challenges being randomly selected. And it's had some good cleavage (thanks Jupiter and Christa, and even Nessa to a lesser degree). Although I do think there may be some producer interference seeing as how no one has ever voted for Mutiny, especially last week when it was the obvious choice.

Really, how bad do your ratings have to be to get cancelled in the Summer? It's like when NBC moved Kidnapped to Saturday night then removed it from its schedule a couple of weeks later to replace it with L&O reruns. Low ratings on a Saturday night, who'd a thunk it?

Oh well, if On the Yacht couldn't cut it, will On the Lot be far behind?

it was ok

the one thing i found distracting was the pirate court, which really should have been like survivor, with the votes being read individually to build some tension....and really should have been that everyone had the chance to be cut adrift and not a measly 3 that got black spots....the host was a bore too, much too many reasons not to watch it, aside from the aforementioned boobies
one more thing

big brother sucks ass, its become a network version of that MTV crap "the real world" with ripped off elements of survivor tossed in...but in that light i can understand how the brain dead majority of TV viewers have flocked to it.... exactly, theyre all brain dead. as for MTV and VH1, someone should take over and set those ships right, MTV is "music television" not "show a bunch of lame reality shows" ...the networks are getting bad with that too...dancing with the(has-been)stars is horrible...at this rate we're due for "masturbating with 80's porn stars" its sick
RE: Pirate's Court

I'm not sure if the court concept was fully thought out. For the past few weeks the non-voting crew members outnumbered the voting ones. This week's episode would have had only 2 voters. That's one reason why I was so surprised that, with only 3 voting last week, and at least 2 seeming eager to vote for mutiny, everyone voted against Jupiter.

They should have made it that Mutiny could occur if the majority of the crew voted for it and at least one officer. Or, if the mutiny vote was unanimous by the crew, the captain and both officers were cast adrift.

I'm curious to see how they handle Pirate's Court when there is only 6 left: 3 non-voting officers, and 3 non-voting, on the block, crew members. Will the host decide?

It was ok....

The hunting for the treasure bits were at least more creative and looked harder then survivor. The court thing was stupid, just vote for christs sake!! And Jen is the star of BB8!!!!...They better not vote her out. She may be crazy and self involved but god damn look at that body and beautiful face and black hair!!!!!!

I like watching that one...nothing else on anyway. It's a DVD servies summer for me. I did not know "Lot" was supposed to be two ep's per week. It's fine being one per.
